Below: what the airport lot costs, how it compares with the Hilton lot, where to wait for arriving passengers, how to get to MLB without a car, and when Orlando International (MCO) is worth a look.
MLB Parking at a Glance
You have two real choices: the airport's own lot a short walk from ticketing, or a prebooked hotel lot with a shuttle.
| Facility | Hourly | Daily | Weekly (7 days) | Shuttle |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MLB public parking lot (airport) | $1.00 per 20 min ($3/hour) | $16.00 max per 24 hours | $112 at the daily max (no weekly rate posted) | None needed, short walk |
| Hilton Melbourne, FL (book on Triply) | Not sold by the hour | About $7 (sample dates) | $46.60 (sample 7-day booking) | 24/7 on demand, about 5 minutes |
| Cell phone waiting lot (airport) | Free | Free, open 24/7 | Pickups only | None |
Airport rates are from the official MLB parking and cell lot page. Triply prices are for a sample 7-day booking (check-in 10 AM on 13 November, check-out 2 PM on 19 November 2026), include taxes and fees, and change by date.
How Much Does Parking at MLB Airport Cost?
The airport lot costs $1.00 for every 20 minutes and never more than $16.00 for any 24-hour period.
That works out to $3 an hour, so the $16 cap kicks in after about 5 hours and 20 minutes. A one-hour pickup costs $3. A day trip costs $16. Every extra 24 hours adds up to $16 more. The airport does not publish a weekly rate, so a full week costs $112 at the daily maximum.
For the same sample dates we priced on Triply (Friday 10 AM to the following Thursday 2 PM), the airport lot comes to about $108 at its posted rates: six 24-hour periods at $16, plus four hours at $3 an hour. The parking page does not say whether tax is added on top. For a breakdown by trip length, see our Melbourne FL airport parking cost guide.
Where Is the MLB Parking Lot?
The public lot is on-airport, a short walk from the terminal and just steps from ticketing and the security checkpoint.
MLB describes it as easy, on-airport parking a short walk from the terminal, with no shuttles. The airport's address is 1 Air Terminal Parkway, Melbourne, FL 32901. The parking page links only a map of the airport's location, not a lot map, so follow the parking signs as you approach the terminal. Because there is only one public lot, there is no choosing between short-term, long-term or economy areas: the same lot and the same rates apply whether you stay an hour or two weeks.
Designated accessible parking is close to the terminal entrance. If you need help in the lot, call the Melbourne Airport Police Department at 321-288-0147. In an emergency, dial 9-1-1.
Can You Reserve Parking at MLB?
Not at the airport lot: MLB's parking page offers no reservations or prepaid parking, so spaces are not held for you.
If you want parking booked before you leave home, the Hilton Melbourne lot is booked ahead on Triply and paid in full online, with nothing due at the lot. You get a 100% refund if you cancel up to the day of arrival.
Long-Term Parking at MLB
MLB has no separate long-term or economy lot, so long stays use the same terminal lot at up to $16 per day.
That makes the math simple: multiply your days by $16. A 3-day trip is $48, a week is $112 and two weeks is $224 at the daily maximum. If you're gone for several days, a lower daily rate adds up fast, which is where the off-airport option below comes in. Our MLB long-term parking cost breakdown shows totals by trip length side by side.
Cheaper Parking Near MLB: Hilton Melbourne
Hilton Melbourne, at 200 Rialto Place about 1.5 miles from the airport, came to $46.60 for our sample 7-day booking, about $7 per day, or roughly $61 less than the airport lot for the same dates.
Here is what you get and what you give up:
- Shuttle: runs 24/7 on demand to and from the terminal; the listing puts the ride at about five minutes.
- On site: 24/7 front desk and a restaurant. The listing describes a monitored, staffed, well-lit lot.
- Parking pass: the hotel checks cars by the license plate on your pass. If the plate doesn't match your car, you risk a ticket or tow, so enter it carefully.
- Where to park: anywhere not marked "Reserved".
- Cancellation: 100% refund up to the day of arrival.
The trade-off is the shuttle ride. If you're traveling with a lot of bags, kids or tight timing, the airport lot's short walk is worth the extra money. If you're gone more than a day or two, the Hilton lot saves you about $9 a day. The airport's own ground transportation page lists the Hilton Rialto among its taxi, limo and shuttle providers. Read our Hilton Melbourne airport parking guide for how the shuttle works, or book Hilton Melbourne parking.
MLB Cell Phone Lot for Pickups
MLB's Cell Phone Waiting Lot is free, open 24/7 and a few minutes from the terminal entrance.
Use it instead of circling the terminal or waiting at the curb. To get there, take the "Return to Terminal" road; the lot is off that road. Wait in your car until your passenger calls to say they're outside, then drive to the terminal to pick them up. Rideshare pickups use a separate area outside baggage claim.
Getting to MLB Without Parking
You can reach MLB by rideshare, taxi or a $1.50 bus ride if you'd rather not leave a car.
- Rideshare: pickup is outside baggage claim, per the airport.
- Taxi, limo and shuttle companies: the airport's ground transportation page lists private providers with phone numbers; call ahead to book.
- Space Coast Area Transit (SCAT) bus: Routes 21 (downtown Melbourne), 29 (Melbourne/Viera) and 30 (South Beach Connector) stop at Melbourne International Airport on their weekday timetables. A one-ride full fare is $1.50, and you need exact change on board. See SCAT fares and passes.
- Hotel shuttles: the airport lists the Crowne Plaza Melbourne, Hilton Rialto and Hyatt Place Melbourne Airport among its shuttle providers.
MLB vs Orlando International (MCO) Parking
If you're choosing between flying from Melbourne or Orlando International, parking alone won't decide it: MCO's North Park Place Economy Lot charges $14 per 24 hours, only $2 less than MLB's terminal lot.
At MCO, that economy lot uses a free 24/7 shuttle to Terminal A, per the MCO North Park Place Economy Lot page, while MLB's lot is a walk to the door. For most Space Coast travelers, the longer drive to Orlando and the shuttle transfer can easily outweigh a $2 daily saving. If your flight is only available from MCO, compare its lots in our Orlando airport parking guide. At MLB, the Hilton lot at about $7 a day was cheaper than either airport's own daily rate for our sample dates.
Tips for Parking at MLB
- Short trip, under about 5 hours: the airport lot at $3 an hour is the easy choice.
- Overnight or longer: compare the $16 a day at the airport with the Hilton lot's price for your dates on the MLB parking page on Triply.
- Picking someone up: wait free in the cell phone lot until they call.
- Accessibility: designated accessible spaces are close to the terminal entrance.
- Things the airport doesn't publish: EV charging, accepted payment methods and a lost-ticket fee aren't listed on the parking page, so ask at the exit if you need them.
