The YYC parking map is a layout of every parking zone at Calgary International Airport, covering five on-airport products — Short-Term, Long-Term P1 and P2, Economy, and Overheight — plus a free cell phone waiting lot and off-site hotel lots bookable from C$8.35/day (before GST, verified October 2026). Knowing where each lot sits relative to your terminal saves real time on departure day. Compare YYC off-site parking from C$8.35/day on Triply and lock in your spot before the Economy Lot fills during ongoing construction.

  • Five on-airport lots: Economy (C$16/day), Long-Term P1 and P2 (C$32/day), Short-Term P1 and P2 (C$40/day, first 20 min free), and Overheight (C$27/day) — all rates before 5% GST, per yyc.com (verified October 2026).
  • Economy Lot availability is reduced in 2026 due to active improvements — pre-booking is strongly recommended.
  • P1 serves the Domestic Terminal; P2 serves the International Terminal (Concourses D and E).
  • Off-site hotel lots start at C$8.35/day — less than half the Long-Term rate — with shuttle service included.
  • Licence plate recognition replaced ticket machines at YYC-owned facilities in June 2026; pre-booked guests drive straight in and out.
  • Cell phone lot is free for up to 60 minutes, located off Airport Road NE.

What Does the YYC Parking Map Look Like? A Lot-by-Lot Breakdown

The YYC parking map places both parkades — P1 and P2 — directly attached to their respective terminals, with surface lots and specialty areas clustered nearby. Here is how each zone sits on the map:

  • P1 (Domestic Parkade): Multi-level parkade connected directly to the Domestic Terminal. Offers both Short-Term and Long-Term stalls on different levels. Accessible stalls are on levels 2 and 4 of the Long-Term section and in the Short-Term area.
  • P2 (International Parkade): Multi-level parkade linked to the International Terminal (Concourse D and Concourse E Transborder). Long-Term accessible stalls are on levels 3 through 7; Short-Term accessible stalls are on the main level.
  • Economy Lot: A surface lot that is terminal-adjacent. No shuttle runs from this lot — you walk to the terminal. Availability is currently reduced due to active improvements.
  • Overheight Lot: A designated surface area for taller vehicles such as trucks and vans. Accessible stalls are available. Rates are C$27/day or C$135 for the first week.
  • Cell Phone Waiting Lot: A free staging area off Airport Road NE — more on directions below.
  • EV Charging: Located within the paid parking areas; electricity is included with your paid parking rate.

The YYC Link shuttle connects the Domestic and International terminals once you are inside the airport campus. There is no separate shuttle between the parking lots and the terminal buildings — P1, P2, and the Economy Lot are all within walking distance of their respective terminals, per the Calgary Airport Authority.

Which YYC Parking Lot Is Closest to Your Terminal?

Choosing the right lot on the YYC parking map starts with knowing which terminal your airline uses. Here is the match-up:

  • Flying domestic (WestJet, Air Canada, Flair Airlines, Air North)? Use P1 or the Economy Lot. Both are adjacent to or directly connected with the Domestic Terminal.
  • Flying international via Concourse D? Use P2, which is directly linked to the International Terminal.
  • Flying transborder to the U.S. via Concourse E? Also use P2. U.S.-bound passengers clear CBP preclearance before boarding, so allow extra time.
  • Not sure which concourse your gate is in? The Calgary Airport terminal guide maps every airline to its concourse and explains the current consolidated security setup.

A key 2026 note: Concourse B (Domestic Terminal, gates 31–40) has been closed since the August 2024 hailstorm. Phased reopening is expected from 2027. Domestic security is consolidated between Doors 4 and 7. If you are in P1, follow signs to the central screening area rather than your usual entrance.

How Do You Enter and Exit YYC Parking After Booking Online?

Since June 2026, all YYC-owned parking facilities use licence plate recognition (LPR). There are no tickets to collect. Here is exactly how it works:

  1. Pre-book at parkingres.yyc.com up to 12 months ahead. You can book as late as 30 minutes before you plan to enter.
  2. Drive up to the entry barrier. The camera reads your plate and the gate opens automatically.
  3. Park in any available stall within your booked lot and level.
  4. On return, drive to the exit. LPR confirms your booking and the gate opens. No machine, no ticket, no fumbling.
  5. If you overstay your booked period, the extra time is charged at the standard drive-up rate.

Hourly drive-up rates (C$10/hour for Long-Term P1, P2, and the Overheight Lot) are not available for pre-booked reservations. Pay credit or debit at the exit machine if you are parking on the spot. The cancellation window is two to three hours before entry, depending on which page of yyc.com you reference — check your confirmation email for your specific deadline.

Where Is the YYC Cell Phone Waiting Lot on the Map?

The YYC cell phone waiting lot is a free staging area where you wait until your passenger has collected their bags. Waiting is free for up to 60 minutes, per the Calgary Airport Authority.

To reach it from Airport Road NE: take the first right after turning onto Airport Road NE, go straight, take the first exit at the traffic circle, then follow the posted signs to the waiting lot. The lot is separate from all paid parking areas and does not connect to any parkade. Once your passenger texts you, drive to the designated pick-up and drop-off zones at the terminal doors. Do not wait at the terminal doors — Calgary Airport Authority enforces active traffic flow there.

Does YYC Have EV and Overheight Parking — and Where Are They Located?

Yes to both. Here is what the YYC parking map shows for specialty vehicle needs:

EV Charging at YYC

EV charging stations are located within the paid parking areas. Electricity is included at no extra cost with your paid parking rate — you do not pay a separate charging fee. Stalls are first-come, first-served and cannot be reserved. Availability is not guaranteed, especially during busy travel periods. If you need a reliable charge before or after your trip, plan for an earlier arrival or have a backup plan.

Overheight Lot

The Overheight Lot is a surface lot designed for tall vehicles — full-size trucks, vans, SUVs with roof racks, and camper shells. The daily rate is C$27/day (C$135 for the first week) before GST, per official YYC rates. The drive-up hourly rate is C$10. Accessible stalls are available in this lot. Pre-book online the same way as any other YYC lot — LPR handles entry and exit.

How Do Off-Site Park-and-Fly Options Compare to On-Site YYC Parking?

Off-site hotel lots bookable through Triply start at C$8.35/day — that is nearly 50% less than the on-airport Economy Lot (C$16/day) and 74% less than Long-Term P1 or P2 (C$32/day), based on current published rates.

All three hotel lots are about 10 minutes from the airport and include free cancellation. The main trade-off is shuttle timing. The Hilton Garden Inn runs 24/7 but you must call the front desk at least 24 hours before your departure to book the hotel-to-airport ride. The Radisson runs every hour from 7 AM to 10:30 PM — no shuttle overnight. The DoubleTree covers 6 AM to 11 PM. How Do You Get to YYC Parking From Barlow Trail, Deerfoot Trail, and Airport Road NE?

Getting to the right lot on the YYC parking map is straightforward once you know which road feeds which entrance. Here are the main approach routes:

  • From Deerfoot Trail (Highway 2): Take the Airport Trail NE exit heading west toward the terminals. Follow signs for P1 (Domestic) or P2 (International) depending on your terminal. Airport Trail NE runs along the south side of the airport campus.
  • From Barlow Trail NE: Turn west onto Airport Trail NE or McKnight Boulevard NE. Both roads connect to the airport access network. Barlow Trail NE approaches from the east side of the airport property.
  • From 16 Avenue NE (Trans-Canada Highway 1): Head north on Barlow Trail NE or 36 Street NE to reach Airport Trail NE, then follow terminal signs.
  • From Stoney Trail (Highway 201): Exit onto Metis Trail NE or Barlow Trail NE and head toward Airport Trail NE. Stoney Trail is the outer ring road and is useful if you are coming from the northwest or south.
  • For the cell phone lot: Enter via Airport Road NE, take the first right, go straight, and take the first exit at the traffic circle. Follow the posted cell phone lot signs.

Road conditions around YYC can shift quickly in fall and winter. Before you drive, check real-time traffic on Waze to avoid delays on Deerfoot Trail or Airport Trail NE. Calgary Airport is about 17 km (11 mi) northeast of downtown Calgary, per the Calgary Airport Authority — add 10–15 minutes in peak traffic.

If you need motorist assistance after parking — a dead battery, flat tire, or trouble finding your vehicle — call the YYC parking line at 403-735-1500 (24/7). Complimentary battery boosting and tire inflation are available at no charge. For real-time parkade availability, use the hotline at 403-250-7275.

Your Next Step: Book YYC Parking Before the Economy Lot Fills

The YYC parking map gives you a clear picture of every option: Short-Term and Long-Term parkades attached to each terminal, a terminal-adjacent Economy Lot at C$16/day, an Overheight Lot at C$27/day, and off-site hotel lots from C$8.35/day with free shuttle service. With the Economy Lot running at reduced capacity through 2026 due to active improvements, spots fill faster than usual — especially on busy travel weekends.

Pre-booking through Triply or directly at yyc.com locks in your spot and activates the LPR system so you drive straight in without stopping. Compare YYC parking options and book your spot today on Triply — off-site lots start at C$8.35/day and all include free cancellation.
