The YYC terminal map is the fastest way to understand Calgary International Airport's layout before you fly. YYC has two main terminals — a Domestic Terminal and an International Terminal — connected by the free YYC Link shuttle. The Domestic Terminal serves flights within Canada, while the International Terminal splits into Concourse D (international flights) and Concourse E (U.S. transborder flights with CBP preclearance). Off-airport parking starts at C$8.35/day, and knowing which terminal you depart from tells you exactly which parking lot is closest.

  • Two terminals: Domestic Terminal (Canadian flights) and International Terminal (Concourses D and E).
  • Concourse B is closed through at least 2027 after the August 2024 hailstorm — gates 31–40 are unavailable.
  • Security change: Domestic screening is now centralized between Doors 4 and 7, not spread across concourses.
  • Cheapest on-airport parking: Economy Lot at C$16/day (reduced availability due to active improvements).
  • Cheapest off-airport parking: Radisson Hotel Calgary Airport and DoubleTree Calgary Airport, both C$8.35/day via Triply.
  • Inter-terminal transfer: The YYC Link shuttle is free and connects both terminals.

Compare YYC off-airport parking near both terminals — rates from C$8.35/day on Triply.

What Does the YYC Terminal Map Look Like? A Floor-by-Floor Overview

Calgary International Airport is a single, integrated complex with two terminal zones side by side on Airport Trail NE. The Domestic Terminal sits to the west, closest to Parkade P1. The International Terminal sits to the east, closest to Parkade P2. Both parkades connect directly to their nearest terminal at the check-in level.

Here is what you will find on each main level, based on official airport data from yyc.com:

  • Departures level (upper): Check-in counters, security screening, gate concourses, retail and dining.
  • Arrivals level (lower): Baggage claim carousels, customs and border services (International Terminal), ground transportation, car rental desks, and taxi/rideshare pickup zones.

The Economy Lot is a surface lot adjacent to the terminal complex — no shuttle required. P1 and P2 parkades connect directly by enclosed walkway. The Overheight Lot is for trucks and SUVs taller than standard parkade clearances. For a full breakdown of every parking zone and its entrance location, see the YYC parking map and lot guide covering every zone for 2026.

What Are the Two Main Terminals at Calgary Airport and How Are They Different?

YYC has two distinct terminal zones that handle different types of travel. Understanding the difference saves you from showing up at the wrong check-in counter.

Domestic Terminal

The Domestic Terminal handles all flights within Canada. Airlines operating here include WestJet, Air Canada, Flair Airlines, and Air North. Domestic passengers clear CATSA security screening — run by the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority — not U.S. Customs. Screening is now centralized in one zone between Doors 4 and 7, a change made as part of the terminal's ongoing upgrade. Two additional lanes are planned by early 2027. Check CATSA security screening rules before you pack to avoid delays at the checkpoint.

One important note for 2026: Concourse B (gates 31–40) remains closed following severe hailstorm damage on August 5, 2024. The Calgary Airport Authority says phased reopening will begin in 2027. If your gate would have been in Concourse B, your flight has been reassigned to another concourse — confirm at check-in.

International Terminal — Concourses D and E

The International Terminal has two concourses. Concourse D handles international destinations — flights to Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean, and beyond — served by WestJet, Air Canada, and other carriers. Concourse E is dedicated to U.S. transborder flights. Passengers flying to the United States complete U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) preclearance at YYC before boarding, which means you arrive in the U.S. as a domestic passenger. Both WestJet and Air Canada operate from Concourse E.

How Do You Get Between the Domestic and International Terminals at YYC?

The YYC Link shuttle is the free inter-terminal connector at Calgary International Airport. It runs between the Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal on a regular loop. You do not need to exit the secure zone to board — the shuttle is airside, which means connecting passengers keep their boarding pass and do not re-clear security. Allow at least 20–30 minutes for a domestic-to-international connection to account for shuttle wait time and the walk to your gate.

If you are arriving internationally and connecting to a domestic flight, follow the "Connections" signs after deplaning. You will pass through CATSA re-screening before boarding the YYC Link on the domestic side. Build extra time into your itinerary — security wait times at YYC's centralized domestic checkpoint can vary significantly during peak morning and afternoon banks.

Where Are the Security Checkpoints on the YYC Terminal Map?

YYC now uses a single centralized security checkpoint in the Domestic Terminal, located between Doors 4 and 7 on the departures level. This replaced multiple smaller checkpoints as part of the airport's major upgrade program. The new setup uses CATSA Plus CT X-ray lanes, which allow laptops and liquids to stay in your bag — a faster process than older equipment.

The International Terminal has its own security and screening process for Concourse D and E passengers. U.S.-bound travellers on Concourse E complete CBP preclearance at YYC, which typically includes passport control, customs declaration, and agricultural inspection — all before boarding. Arrive earlier for U.S. flights. The YYC security screening page has current wait time guidance by time of day.

Which Parking Lot Is Closest to Your YYC Terminal?

Your terminal zone directly determines which parking lot is most convenient. This is one of the most practical things the YYC terminal map tells you — and no on-airport shuttle runs between the surface lots or parkades, so walking distance really matters.

  • Domestic Terminal → P1 Long-Term or Short-Term: P1 connects directly to the Domestic Terminal by enclosed walkway. Long-term costs C$32/day; short-term costs C$40/day (first 20 min free).
  • International Terminal → P2 Long-Term or Short-Term: P2 connects directly to the International Terminal. Same rates as P1.
  • Economy Lot → Either terminal: The Economy Lot is terminal-adjacent at C$16/day (C$80/week), but availability is reduced due to active improvements in 2026. Pre-book early.
  • Overheight Lot → Either terminal: For trucks and tall SUVs. C$27/day, C$135/week. Drive-up hourly rate is C$10.
  • Off-airport hotel lots → Either terminal via shuttle: About 10 minutes from the airport. Starting at C$8.35/day — less than half the cost of P1 or P2 long-term parking.

Off-airport options through Triply save up to 74% compared to on-airport long-term rates (based on C$8.35/day vs. C$32/day, per current published rates). The Radisson Hotel Calgary Airport and DoubleTree Calgary Airport both list at C$8.35/day with free cancellation. The Hilton Garden Inn Calgary Airport lists at C$9.44/day with a 24/7 shuttle — though you must call the front desk 24 hours in advance to arrange your hotel-to-airport pickup. Where Are the Gates, Lounges, and Amenities on the YYC Concourse Map?

YYC's concourses are labeled A through E. Each serves a different section of the terminal. Here is what is currently open, based on airport data verified October 2026:

  • Concourse A: Domestic gates, Domestic Terminal. Active and fully operational.
  • Concourse B: Domestic gates 31–40. Closed. Rebuilding after August 2024 hailstorm. Phased reopening from 2027.
  • Concourse C: Domestic gates, Domestic Terminal. Active.
  • Concourse D: International gates. International Terminal. Active.
  • Concourse E: U.S. transborder gates with CBP preclearance. International Terminal. Active.

Airport lounges at YYC include the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge and the Plaza Premium Lounge. Both are located post-security in the International Terminal. Domestic travellers do not have access to these lounges without a qualifying ticket or membership. Check the YYC lounges page for current access policies. Dining and retail are spread across both terminals on the departures level, with the largest selection in the International Terminal near Concourses D and E.

How Do You Navigate YYC Airport Arrivals — Domestic vs. International?

Arrivals at YYC follow different paths depending on your flight type. Knowing the layout helps you find baggage claim and ground transportation faster.

Domestic Arrivals

Domestic passengers deplane and walk directly to the baggage claim area on the arrivals level of the Domestic Terminal. No customs process is required. From baggage claim, follow signs to ground transportation for taxis, rideshares, the Calgary Transit Route 500 Airport Express (to downtown via Centre Street), or Route 100 (to Saddletowne CTrain Blue Line and North Pointe). Those picking up passengers should use the free cellphone waiting lot — from Airport Road, take the first right, go straight, take the first exit at the traffic circle, and follow the signs. It is free for up to 60 minutes.

International and U.S. Transborder Arrivals

International passengers from Concourse D clear Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) customs on the arrivals level of the International Terminal before collecting bags. U.S. transborder passengers arriving from Concourse E have already cleared CBP preclearance at departure, so they arrive in Canada with no U.S. customs on the return leg — but they still clear CBSA if returning to Canada from the U.S. After customs, follow the signs to the main arrivals hall, ground transportation, and the YYC Link shuttle connection to the Domestic Terminal if needed.

If you drove and parked in P2, take the parkade elevator or stairs directly to the arrivals level. P1 parkers arriving into the International Terminal can walk through the terminal connection on the departures level and access P1 from there. For tips on driving to YYC from any direction, the guide to getting to and from Calgary Airport covers all routes including Deerfoot Trail, Stoney Trail, and Airport Trail NE.

YYC Terminal Map: Your Parking and Navigation Summary for 2026

The YYC terminal map comes down to a simple split: Domestic Terminal west, International Terminal east, with P1 and P2 parkades attached to each. Concourse B remains closed through at least 2027, and domestic security is now in one central location between Doors 4 and 7. Economy Lot space is reduced, so pre-book if you plan to use the cheapest on-airport option at C$16/day.

The biggest savings come from off-airport hotel lots near both terminals. Based on current Triply rates, parking at the Radisson Hotel Calgary Airport or DoubleTree Calgary Airport costs C$8.35/day — compared to C$32/day for on-airport long-term parking. That is a saving of C$164.15 on a 7-night trip before GST. Shuttles run regularly, and free cancellation means no risk if your plans change. If you fly in winter, also read the Calgary Airport parking in winter guide for cold-weather tips that apply to every lot on this map.
