A partial hour counts as a full hour, and once you pass 6 hours the lot charges its full daily rate. The airport does not publish weekly or monthly rates, so multi-day stays are charged day by day. Triply prices are for a sample 7-day booking (check-in 10 AM on 13 November, check-out 2 PM on 19 November 2026), include fees, and change by date. Our PTI airport parking rates breakdown works out the hour-by-hour charges and what a weekend or a week costs in each lot.
Premium Garage ($18/day)
The Premium Garage is the closest parking to the terminal, about 40 yards across from the building, with entrances on both the departure and arrival levels.
The multi-level garage has 2,000 spaces and a 7-foot height clearance, and the airport says its garages take vehicles up to 7 feet tall and 20 feet long. There is no shuttle to or from the garage. If you get back late in the evening, you can call Airport Communications at 336-665-5642, or use a courtesy phone in baggage claim, and ask for an escort to your car.
The garage also has free electric vehicle charging: four units on Level 1 and four on Level 2, with no extra charge beyond parking. They are Level 1 chargers (120 volts), which the airport says add about 3 to 5 miles of range per hour, so they suit a long trip more than a quick top-up.
Economy Lots ($13/day)
The Economy Lots are the airport's long-term parking, on both sides of the Premium Garage, at $13 a day.
A free shuttle runs between the Economy Lots and the terminal 24 hours a day, every 10 to 20 minutes, and the buses have wheelchair lifts. Short stays are $3 for the first hour and $2 for each hour after that, so 5 hours costs $11 and anything over 6 hours is the $13 daily rate. Our Greensboro airport long-term parking guide compares a week in Economy with the off-site option and covers overnight and multi-week stays.
Short-Term Parking and Picking Someone Up
GSO has no cell phone lot, so drivers meeting a flight either use short-term parking in front of the terminal or wait elsewhere until their passenger is outside.
Short-term spaces sit in front of the building on both the departure and arrival levels and are pay-by-plate: $1.50 per 30 minutes, up to $12 for 4 hours. The airport asks drivers not to leave a car there for more than 4 hours. Pay stations are outside doors 1, 2, 5 and 6 on the departure level and doors 1, 2, 6 and 7 on the arrival level. They take debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Wallet but not cash; a cash-to-card machine is on the departure level next to the center elevator. Take a photo of your license plate before you walk over, because you need the plate number to pay.
Booking Airport Parking Ahead (EasyPark)
Yes, you can reserve GSO parking online: the airport's EasyPark system books the Premium Garage or the Economy Lots from 6 months up to 3 hours before you arrive.
Your card is charged when you book, and you get a QR code by email that you scan at the entry and exit gates. You don't get a specific space, but the airport says there will always be a space for you in the lot you booked. The system lets you in from 2 hours before to 2 hours after your booked arrival time; time outside your booking is charged at posted rates. The airport does not publish its online prices, which its parking terms and conditions say can vary by time of booking and availability. On cancellations, the airport's FAQ says you can change or cancel free up to 3 hours before arrival, while its terms say a full refund needs 24 hours' notice, so plan on 24 hours. Short-term spaces and accessible spaces cannot be reserved.
Off-Site Parking: Embassy Suites Greensboro Airport
The one off-site lot you can book on Triply, Embassy Suites Greensboro Airport, came to $46.53 for a sample week, about $6.65/day, roughly half the airport's $13 Economy rate.
It is at 204 Centreport Dr., Greensboro, 1.8 miles from the airport and easy to reach from I-40. The hotel shuttle runs 24/7 on demand: it leaves the hotel on the hour and half hour and reaches the airport around :15 and :45. Coming home, call (336) 668-4535 and wait outside Door 4. Seats are first come, first served, so if a shuttle is full you take the next one. The hotel has a restaurant, and the airport's own ground transportation page lists Embassy Suites among its hotel shuttles.
For the same sample stay (10 AM on 13 November to 2 PM on 19 November), the Economy Lots would cost about $87 to $91 at posted drive-up rates, and the Premium Garage about $120 to $126. The booking is paid in full online, and you get a 100% refund if you cancel up to the day of arrival. Economy still wins on convenience: it is on airport property, its shuttle runs every 10 to 20 minutes with no call needed, and you don't have to book. See current GSO airport parking prices on Triply for your own dates.
Valet, Free Parking and Other Questions
There is no valet parking at GSO: the airport says executive parking is not available, and it lists no valet service.
The airport also lists no free parking for travelers, and no published senior, military or frequent-parker discount. The airport's terms say it may offer promotional rates from time to time, sometimes only through online booking, so check EasyPark before you go. Accessible spaces are in short-term, the Premium Garage and the Economy Lots, with no published accessible-parking discount; call Parking Services at 336-665-5631 with questions. The airport no longer lists a separate central garage, only the Premium Garage, the Economy Lots and short-term parking.
Paying, Lost Tickets and Rules
You pay when you leave: at a kiosk inside the terminal before you walk to your car, at the pay station at the lot exit, or with an attendant at the booth.
Terminal kiosks are at the top of the north and south escalators and in the north and south baggage claim areas; once you pay, the exit gate recognizes your car and opens. The airport lists all major credit cards as accepted for the Economy Lots. If you lose your ticket, go to an exit lane; staff check your entry time in the parking system and charge the normal fee for your stay. Cars are parked at the owner's risk, oversized and high-profile vehicles cannot be accommodated, and a car left more than 90 days may be removed as abandoned.
Getting to the Airport and the Parking Entrances
From Greensboro, take I-40 West to exit 212B, follow the Urban Loop to Bryan Boulevard west and take the airport exit; from Winston-Salem, take I-40 East to exit 210, NC 68 North for about 3 miles, then I-73 South to the airport exit.
Garage entrances face the terminal on both the departure and arrival levels, with the Economy Lots on either side. Our GSO airport directions guide lists the official route from every nearby city and Virginia, plus taxi, rideshare and the PART on-demand shuttle. The airport says to arrive 90 minutes to 2 hours before your flight; TSA checkpoints open at 3:45 a.m.
