Rates here come from the official JAX parking page. For every facility, see our JAX airport parking guide.
JAX Economy Parking Rates
All three Economy Lots charge the same flat $10/day, the lowest official rate at JAX.
| Facility | Hourly | Daily | Weekly | Shuttle |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Economy Lot 1 | Flat daily rate | $10 | Not published | Free, 24/7, about every 15 min |
| Economy Lot 2 | Flat daily rate | $10 | Not published | Free, 24/7, about every 15 min |
| Economy Lot 3 | Flat daily rate | $10 | Not published | Free, 24/7, about every 15 min |
| Daily Surface Lot (for comparison) | $2 per 30 min on day one | $16 | Not published | Walk |
JAX does not publish a weekly rate, so a week is seven daily charges: about $70 in Economy versus $112 in the Daily Surface Lot. The airport does not say how a partial final day is billed. Some older airport pages still show an $8 Economy rate; the main parking page says $10, and that is the current figure.
Where the JAX Economy Lots Are
The Economy Lots sit south of the terminal along the airport access road, beyond the garages and the Daily Surface Lot.
On the airport's parking map, Economy Lots 1 and 2 are along the access road past the Daily Surface Lot, and Economy Lot 3 is the farthest out. Follow the airport signs to the Economy Lots. The airport does not publish separate street addresses for them.
How the JAX Economy Lot Shuttle Works
The Economy shuttle is free and runs 24/7, about every 15 minutes, between the lots and the terminal.
- At the terminal, the shuttle picks up in the Ground Transportation Area on the Lower Arrival curb outside Door A.
- Each Economy Lot has ADA-compliant shuttle buses that drop off at the curbside entrance.
- Accessible parking spaces in Economy Lots 1 and 2 are near the bus stops.
Allow time for the wait and the ride on departure day, since a bus may have just left when you reach the stop.
Vehicle Limits in the Economy Lots
Economy Lot 1 has a 7' 6" height limit and Economy Lot 2 a 10' 6" limit; the airport publishes no limit for Economy Lot 3.
Semi-trucks, trailers, RVs, large box trucks and any vehicle that takes up more than one space are prohibited in every Economy area. Vehicles parked over 45 days are treated as abandoned and towed at the owner's expense, so the Economy Lots suit trips of up to about six weeks.
Paying for Long-Term Parking at JAX
The Economy Lots are credit card only, with no cash.
If you want to pay before you reach your car, the Pay on Foot machine in Baggage Claim takes cash and cards for every facility; insert your paid ticket at the exit. Disabled veterans with a permanently mounted DV plate park free in the Economy Lots with the veteran in the vehicle; exit through any lane and press the help button.
Will the Economy Lots Be Full?
They can be, especially around holidays, so check the airport's live parking status before you leave home.
The Florida Times-Union reported on 27 May 2026 that the airport had been expanding its Economy parking, but the Economy Lots still fill during Thanksgiving week and around Christmas. The airport's parking page says no reservations are required and offers no way to reserve a self-park space, so you cannot hold an Economy space. The one airport service you can book ahead is JAX valet parking.
Off-Site Long-Term Parking Near JAX
If you want a booked space, two off-site lots near JAX take reservations on Triply, and one came in slightly under Economy for our sample week.
| Option (7 days) | Total | Shuttle |
|---|---|---|
| Airlynk Parking (1.7 mi) | $66.62, about $9.50/day | On demand, 6 AM to 10 PM |
| JAX Economy Lots | $70 if billed as 7 days | Every 15 min, 24/7 |
| Wyndham Jacksonville Hotel (formerly Crowne Plaza) (2.6 mi) | $78.13, about $11/day | Every 15 min, 4 AM to 2 AM |
Triply prices are for a sample 7-day booking (check-in 10 AM on 13 November, check-out 2 PM on 19 November 2026), include taxes and fees, and change by date.
Airlynk was about $3 less than Economy for the week if Economy is billed as 7 days. JAX does not publish how a partial final day is billed; if this stay were charged as 6 days, Economy would be $60, about $7 less than Airlynk. The Wyndham cost about $8 more; what you get for it is a reserved booking, a 24/7 front desk and a restaurant. The Economy shuttle runs around the clock, while Airlynk's regular shuttle stops at 10 PM (earlier or later pickups need 24 hours' notice) and the Wyndham has no shuttle from 2 AM to 4 AM. Both off-site bookings give a 100% refund if you cancel up to the day of arrival. See our JAX off-site parking guide for check-in steps, or the JAX parking cost breakdown to compare every option.
