This page covers long-term parking; our TYS airport parking guide covers every lot, plus pick-up and the free Phone & Wait Lot.

Knoxville Airport Long-Term Parking Rates

Economy is $1 per 20 minutes up to $13 per day, the lowest daily rate at TYS.

The rate went up to $13 on 1 July 2026, according to the airport's economy rate notice. Multi-day totals assume one $13 charge per day; the airport does not publish weekly rates or how a partial last day is billed. For the other lots' rates, see our TYS parking fees guide.

Economy Lot C and Overflow Lot G

Lot C is the main economy lot, and Lot G is overflow economy parking at the same rate.

Lot C has 1,720 spaces, and the airport posts live capacity for each lot. Lot G was shown closed on the airport's map in October 2026. The TYS parking map shows whether each lot is open, so check it before you leave home.

The Economy Shuttle

An ADA-compliant shuttle bus runs from the Economy Lots to the terminal every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day.

Allow extra time for the wait and the ride, especially at the airport's busiest times: 5 to 7 AM, 11 AM to 2 PM and 4 to 6 PM. The airport recommends arriving at least 2 hours before a domestic flight. The airport does not run shuttles to anywhere off its own property, so hotel and off-site lot shuttles are run by those businesses.

Long-Term Parking Rules at TYS

You can leave a car in Economy for up to 30 continuous days.

  • Longer than 30 days: get approval from Republic Parking, (865) 970-2749, in advance.
  • Vehicle limits: no motorcycles, trailers, motorhomes, buses or oversized vehicles in any lot.
  • Weather: lots are pretreated but not plowed or scraped in snow and ice, and fees still apply if your car can't leave. Covered parking is only in the Garage.
  • Refunds: none for flight delays, cancellations, weather or changed plans.
  • Paying: cash or card when you leave.

If you would rather walk than ride a shuttle, Terminal Lots A and B are $16/day and the covered Garage is $22/day; our McGhee Tyson garage guide covers height clearance, EV charging and the new garage due in summer 2027.

Economy vs the Walk-In Lots for Long Trips

Economy saves $3/day over the Terminal Lots and $9/day over the Garage, which adds up fast on a long trip.

The trade-off is the shuttle ride instead of a short walk, and no cover from rain or snow. Totals assume one daily charge per day.

Tips for Long-Term Parking at TYS

  • Note where you parked. Write down whether you parked in Lot C or Lot G before you board the shuttle.
  • Check the live map first. If Lot C is close to full, overflow Lot G may be open at the same rate.
  • Keep your exit receipt. If you lose it, Republic Parking at (865) 970-2749 or info@tys.org can help.
  • Watch the weather. In snow or ice, the lots are not plowed or scraped, and heavy accumulation can stop a car from leaving.

Triply prices are for a sample 7-day booking (check-in 10 AM on 13 November, check-out 2 PM on 19 November 2026), include taxes and fees, and change by date. The sample stay is 6 days and 4 hours, so Economy is shown for 6 and 7 daily charges; either way USA PARKING Knoxville Airport was about $13 to $26 less. What you give up is the round-the-clock shuttle to the airport: it runs 4 AM to 11 PM, and you call (865) 970-3060 for pickup when you land. It also needs a booking of at least 5 days. Our Knoxville airport off-site parking guide covers check-in and the shuttle, or you can compare TYS long-term parking on Triply.
