The Economy Shuttle Schedule
The free shuttle runs 24 hours a day Sunday through Thursday, but not 1 to 3 AM on Friday or 1 to 4 AM on Saturday.
- From the lot: walk to the nearest bus stop and press the call button inside it.
- From the terminal: leave Level 1 Arrivals and follow the Economy Shuttle signs. Cross from Domestic Baggage Claim, near carousels 4 and 5, to the outer curb where the rental car buses stop. Press the call button on the wall; the bus typically arrives in 10 to 15 minutes.
- When the shuttle is off: call 561-471-7459.
Walking From Economy to the Terminal
Yes, you can walk: the airport says the Economy lot is about 5 minutes on foot from the terminal.
The walkway to the terminal is across from bus stop 5. That makes Economy a practical choice even during the weekend early-morning shuttle gaps. Our West Palm Beach airport parking map guide shows the lot's position south-east of the terminal.
Paying in the Economy Lot
You can pay with a card or SunPass at any time, and with cash when a cashier is on duty.
There is no cashier between 1 AM and 8:30 AM. If you return on a red-eye, have a card ready, or use a SunPass Plus account in the SunPass lane.
Accessible Parking in Economy
Accessible spaces are at bus stops 6 and 7, at the south end of the lot, and cost the same $8 a day with a blue placard.
Free parking applies only to vehicles with a Florida DV plate, specialized equipment such as ramps, lifts or hand controls, or a Florida Toll Exemption Permit.
Economy vs Long-Term Parking at PBI
Economy saves $6 a day over the Long-Term garage, which adds up to $42 on a one-week trip.
| Trip | Economy ($8) | Long-Term ($14) | You save in Economy |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 days | $40 | $70 | $30 |
| 7 days | $56 | $98 | $42 |
| 14 days | $112 | $196 | $84 |
Totals are our estimates from the daily maximums. Long-Term gets you a garage (or one of its side lots) with direct terminal access on Level 2 and no shuttle wait. If you want to be even closer, our short-term parking guide for PBI covers the garage beside the terminal.
Rules for Long-Term Parking at PBI
- 30 days maximum: after that the car is treated as abandoned and towed. Call Parking at (561) 471-7459 first for a longer trip.
- Oversized vehicles: a vehicle using more than one space pays for each space. No commercial vehicles or fifth-wheel trailers.
- Hurricanes: standard rates apply during storms.
- Lost ticket: the daily maximum for each 24 hours, or part of one.
Tips for Economy Parking at PBI
A little planning makes Economy as easy as the garages.
- Note your bus stop number. The stops are numbered, so write down the nearest one before you leave the car.
- Check the map first. The official PBI parking map shows the Economy lot's position relative to the terminal and garages.
- Allow time for the shuttle. From the terminal side, the airport says the bus typically comes 10 to 15 minutes after you press the call button.
- Flying early on a weekend? Walk if the shuttle is in its Friday or Saturday overnight gap, and leave time for security; TSA lists what you can carry through.
- Bring a card for late returns. No cashier works from 1 AM to 8:30 AM.
Off-Site Parking vs Economy
For our sample week, Economy was cheaper than the off-site lot we sell.
| PBI Economy | West Palm Beach Marriott | |
|---|---|---|
| Sample week, 13 to 19 Nov | $56 | $61.69 (about $8.80/day) |
| Location | On airport, about 5 min walk | Downtown West Palm Beach, 2.6 mi |
| Shuttle | Free; 24 hours except early Fri and Sat | Listed every 30 min, 6 AM to midnight |
| Book ahead | Optional (airport reservations) | Yes, prepaid; full refund if cancelled up to arrival day |
Triply prices are for a sample 7-day booking (check-in 10 AM on 13 November, check-out 2 PM on 19 November 2026), include taxes and fees, and change by date. The Marriott costs about $5.70 more for that week; it makes sense if you are staying or heading downtown, or want the space prepaid. Confirm the shuttle with the hotel at 561-833-1234. Our guide to saving on PBI parking compares every option, or see PBI parking on Triply.
