The PBI Parking Garages
PBI has two garages: Short-Term, right next to the terminal, and Long-Term, just behind it with direct access on Level 2.
- Short-Term garage: $21/day, direct access to the terminal. Card, cash or SunPass.
- Long-Term garage: $14/day ($2 per 20 minutes), plus the two surface lots on either side, all signed Long-Term. Direct access to the terminal on Level 2. Card, cash or SunPass. The airport sells reservations for long-term parking online.
Both are covered, and both are a walk to the terminal, with no shuttle. Our PBI parking map guide shows how they sit in front of the terminal. The airport does not publish a height clearance for either garage, so call Parking at (561) 471-7459 if you drive a tall vehicle.
Short-Term vs Premium
Premium costs the same per 20 minutes but caps at $34 a day, so Short-Term is cheaper for anything over 2 hours.
Premium is the surface lot right outside Baggage Claim, the shortest walk at PBI. Its pay machines take card or SunPass only, with a cashier at the Main Exit Plaza. Neither lot is valet; the airport lists no valet service.
When Short-Term Makes Sense
Use Short-Term for a meet-and-greet, a drop-off where you walk in, or a trip of a night or two when you want the shortest walk.
Beyond a day or two, the cheaper lots win: Long-Term saves $7 a day and Economy saves $13 a day. For a 3-day trip that is $63 in Short-Term against $24 in Economy. Our PBI economy lot guide covers the shuttle and the 5-minute walk.
Picking Up Without Paying
Wait in the free Cell Phone Waiting Lot until your passenger has their bags, then pull up to the curb.
Arrivals and baggage claim are on Level 1. Rideshare pick-up is on the outer curb of Level 3, per the airport's ground transportation information. If you would rather go in to meet someone, 40 minutes in Short-Term is $6.
Short-Term Parking Rules
- Days count from entry: each 24 hours from when you entered is a new day.
- Lost ticket: $21 for each 24 hours or part of one.
- Hurricanes: standard rates apply, and the garages are not for storing cars if you are not flying.
- Disabled veterans: free with a Florida DV plate, specialized equipment or a Florida Toll Exemption Permit.
Paying in the Garages
Short-Term and Long-Term take credit cards, cash and SunPass.
With a SunPass Plus account, use the SunPass Plus lane to enter and again at the exit toll plaza; the charge comes off your account and the gate opens. Premium is card or SunPass only at the machines, with a cashier at the Main Exit Plaza.
Short-Term Parking Tips
- Watch the 2-hour mark. After 2 hours you have paid the full $21 day, so a long lunch before a flight pick-up costs the same as a whole day.
- Use the cell lot for on-time arrivals. Waiting there is free; head in when your passenger calls.
- Leave enough time for security if you are flying and parking short-term for a quick trip; check TSA screening rules before you pack.
- Keep your ticket safe. Losing it costs the full $21 for every 24 hours, or part of one.
Longer Trips: Off-Site Option
If Short-Term is too expensive for a long trip, the off-site West Palm Beach Marriott came to about $8.80/day for our sample week.
Triply prices are for a sample 7-day booking (check-in 10 AM on 13 November, check-out 2 PM on 19 November 2026), include taxes and fees, and change by date. That is $61.69 for the week, against $147 in Short-Term, $98 in Long-Term and $56 in Economy. The Marriott is 2.6 miles away downtown; its listing describes a shuttle every 30 minutes, 6 AM to midnight, so call the hotel at 561-833-1234 to confirm. Our cheap PBI parking guide lays out the trade-offs, or book the Marriott lot on Triply.
