All official rates exclude 11.5% tax, made up of a 2.5% school tax and a 9.0% township tax. The "as low as" prebook rates require booking on ParkAtPIT.com at least 7 days in advance, and they can change. PIT does not publish weekly rates or a monthly maximum. PIT Parking Lots and Garage: What Each One Is For

PIT has five official parking facilities, and the right one depends on how long you stay and how far you want to walk.

Shuttle Lot (long-term parking)

The Shuttle Lot is PIT's long-stay, lowest-cost lot at $8/day prebooked or $12/day drive-up. When the new terminal opened on 18 November 2025, the Shuttle Lot replaced the old long-term, extended and economy lots, so guides that still use those names are out of date. There is no walking route to the terminal: you catch a shuttle from one of 5 shelters on the lot's central road. Our PIT long-term parking guide covers the shuttle stops and week-long stays in detail.

Terminal Lot

The Terminal Lot is a surface lot a 3 to 5 minute walk from the terminal, at $18/day prebooked or $28/day drive-up. A stay of up to 2 hours costs $15.

Terminal Garage

The Terminal Garage is the covered option, a 3 to 5 minute walk from the terminal at $28/day prebooked or $38/day drive-up. It has a space-finder system and a fully covered walkway to the terminal through the Customer Service Building, which also holds the rental car counters. The airport says the Terminal Garage and Terminal Lot together offer more than 6,000 premium parking spaces.

PIT Executive parking

PIT Executive is reservation-only parking a 3 to 5 minute walk from the terminal, from $35/day, with no drive-up rate. The airport also takes leaseholder applications on its PIT Executive application page.

Free Wait Lot (for pickups)

The Free Wait Lot is a holding lot for drivers meeting a flight, not a place to park while you travel, and it has no terminal access. Follow the signs, take a gate ticket and use the same ticket to exit. The first hour is free, up to 2 hours is $5, up to 4 hours is $10, then $12/day.

Pittsburgh International Airport Parking Map: How the Lots Are Laid Out

The Terminal Garage, Terminal Lot and PIT Executive sit within a 3 to 5 minute walk of the terminal, while the Shuttle Lot is farther out and linked only by shuttle.

The terminal roadway has three levels:

  • Drop-off: 3rd (top) level, outside the airline counters and security.
  • Pick-up: 2nd (middle) level, outside Baggage Claim.
  • Ground level: taxis, rideshare and regional transit.

Shuttle Lot buses stop at the Arrivals (middle) level, Door 5, just outside Baggage Claim.

How the PIT Shuttle Lot Shuttle Works

Shuttle Lot buses run 24/7/365, including holidays, and stop at each of the 5 shelters about every 10 minutes.

  • The ride to the terminal takes under 10 minutes.
  • Shuttles drop off and pick up at Arrivals (middle) level, Door 5.
  • All shuttles are wheelchair accessible, and drivers help with bags.
  • For mobility assistance, use the "Call" button on the gate terminals, the intercoms, or phone 412-472-5050.

PIT Airport Parking Reservation and Prepay

You can reserve official PIT parking online at ParkAtPIT.com or the airport's reservation site, and booking at least 7 days ahead unlocks the lowest "as low as" rates.

Prebooking is the only official discount: the airport publishes no promo codes. Per the airport's FAQ, reservations can be changed or canceled any time before the scheduled entry date and time. The airport does not say whether a reservation fee applies, so check the total before you pay. Our PIT parking coupon and savings guide lists every way to pay less.

Off-Site Parking Near PIT: Globe and Charlie Brown's

Two off-site lots near PIT are bookable on Triply: Globe Airport Parking at about $9/day and Charlie Brown's Airport Parking at about $13/day, both with on-demand shuttles.

Triply prices are for a sample 7-day booking (check-in 13 November, check-out 19 November 2026), include taxes and fees, and change by date. For that stay, Globe came in about $2.40 over the Shuttle Lot's prebooked rate with tax ($62.44), assuming PIT bills it as 7 days. Charlie Brown's cost about $28 more than the prebooked Shuttle Lot but about $3.50 less than the Shuttle Lot at the drive-up rate ($93.66). Both lots give a 100% refund if you cancel up to the day of arrival. Compare both on our PIT airport parking page, or read the full PIT off-site parking comparison.

EV Charging at PIT Parking

PIT offers free Level I EV charging, first come first served, and you cannot reserve it.

There are 10 charging spaces in the Shuttle Lot and 33 in the Terminal Garage (8 per level). Bring your own cable and adapters.

How to Pay for Parking at PIT

Gate terminals and pay stations take digital payment only: card, Apple Pay or contactless.

Cash is accepted only at the cashier lanes at the exit plazas, and checks are not accepted. If you park often, the PIT Express Pass is a pay-on-the-go transponder, and you can register an existing E-ZPass tag at pitexpresspass.com.

Accessible Parking at PIT

Accessible and van-accessible spaces are in every on-site lot: the Shuttle Lot (near the shelters), the Terminal Lot (next to the walkways) and the Terminal Garage (near the elevators). Placard and plate holders pay the posted rates.

Getting to PIT Without Parking

If you'd rather not park, the PRT 28X Airport Flyer leaves about every 30 minutes from Door 9, Ground Level, serving Robinson, Downtown and Oakland for $2.75 (a day pass is $7). Uber and Lyft drivers meet you across the road from Door 7, Ground Level.

Which PIT Parking Option Should You Pick?

For most trips longer than a day, the Shuttle Lot booked 7+ days ahead or an off-site lot is the lowest-cost choice.

  • Lowest official price: Shuttle Lot, $8/day prebooked.
  • Covered, 3 to 5 minute walk: Terminal Garage, $28/day prebooked.
  • Short walk, lower price than the garage: Terminal Lot, $18/day prebooked.
  • Off-site with a reservation and on-demand shuttle: Globe (about $9/day) or Charlie Brown's (about $13/day).
  • Picking someone up: Free Wait Lot, first hour free.
