Pittsburgh International Airport Parking Long Term: Shuttle Lot From $8/Day (2026)

As of October 2026, long-term parking at Pittsburgh International Airport means the Shuttle Lot: $8/day if you prebook at least 7 days ahead, or $12/day at the gate, plus 11.5% tax. Shuttles stop about every 10 minutes, 24/7, and the ride takes under 10 minutes. Off-site, Globe Airport Parking came to about $9/day all-in for a sample 7-day booking.

What Happened to PIT Extended and Economy Parking?

PIT's extended, economy and long-term lots no longer exist under those names: the Shuttle Lot replaced them when the new terminal opened on 18 November 2025.

The airport now runs five facilities: the Free Wait Lot, the Shuttle Lot, the Terminal Lot, the Terminal Garage and PIT Executive. If a site still tells you to park in "Extended" or "Economy", it is describing the old layout. For an overview of all five, see our PIT airport parking guide.

PIT Long Term Parking Rates

The Shuttle Lot is the cheapest official long-stay option, at $8/day prebooked or $12/day drive-up before tax.

Overnight and Weekly Parking at PIT

PIT publishes daily rates only, with no weekly rate or monthly maximum, so a long stay is priced day by day.

Here is what a 7-day stay in the Shuttle Lot works out to, assuming the airport charges 7 daily rates (PIT does not publish how it counts days):

• Prebooked: 7 x $8 = $56, plus $6.44 tax = $62.44.
• Drive-up: 7 x $12 = $84, plus $9.66 tax = $93.66.

Booking a week ahead is the difference between those two numbers, so reserve early if your dates are set.

PIT Shuttle Lot Shuttle Stops and Schedule

Buses stop at 5 shelters on the Shuttle Lot's central road about every 10 minutes, 24/7/365, including holidays.

• At the terminal: shuttles stop at the Arrivals (middle) level, Door 5, just outside Baggage Claim. Catch the bus back to your car from the same spot.
• Ride time: under 10 minutes.
• No walking route: the shuttle is the only way between the Shuttle Lot and the terminal.
• Accessibility: all shuttles are wheelchair accessible and drivers help with bags. For mobility assistance, use the "Call" button on the gate terminals, the intercoms, or phone 412-472-5050.

Note the shelter you parked near before you leave the lot, so you get off at the right stop on your return.

Shuttle Lot vs Terminal Lot for a Long Trip

For a week away, the prebooked Shuttle Lot costs $78.05 less than the prebooked Terminal Lot, in exchange for a shuttle ride instead of a 3 to 5 minute walk.

• Shuttle Lot, prebooked: $62.44 for 7 days with tax.
• Terminal Lot, prebooked: 7 x $18 = $126, plus $14.49 tax = $140.49.
• Terminal Garage, prebooked: 7 x $28 = $196, plus $22.54 tax = $218.54, for a covered space.

These assume 7 daily charges, and prebook rates are "as low as" figures that can be higher on your dates. The longer the trip, the more the gap grows.

Paying When You Leave the Shuttle Lot

Gate terminals and pay stations take card, Apple Pay and contactless only. If you need to pay cash, use a cashier lane at the exit plaza; checks are not accepted. Frequent travelers can use the PIT Express Pass transponder or register an existing E-ZPass tag to pay on the go.

EV Charging and Accessible Spaces in the Shuttle Lot

The Shuttle Lot has 10 free Level I EV charging spaces, first come first served, and they cannot be reserved. Bring your own cable and adapters. Accessible and van-accessible spaces are near the shuttle shelters, and placard and plate holders pay the posted rates.

Long-Term Parking Off Site: Globe and Charlie Brown's

For a reserved space off airport, Globe Airport Parking costs about $9/day and Charlie Brown's Airport Parking about $13/day.

Both lots run on-demand shuttles and give a 100% refund if you cancel up to the day of arrival. Tips for Long-Term Parking at PIT

• Prebook at least 7 days ahead to get the $8 Shuttle Lot rate instead of $12.
• Allow time for the shuttle: an average wait of under 10 minutes plus a ride of under 10 minutes.
• Pay by card, Apple Pay or contactless at the gates; cash only at the exit plaza cashier lanes.
• Leave trailers and oversized vehicles at home: they are prohibited in on-site lots.
