As of October 2026, the Rochester airport parking garage costs $16/day, with $4 for the first 2 hours and $2 for each extra hour. It is the only covered parking at ROC, a skyway on Level 2 leads to departures and security, and clearance is 7 feet.

Below are the garage rates, how reservations work, EV charging and when a cheaper lot makes more sense. For every lot at the airport, see our complete list of ROC parking lots.

Is the Garage Worth $16 a Day?

The garage is worth it for short trips and bad weather; for a week away, it costs about twice the shuttle lot.

A week in the garage is $112, against about $56 in the Yellow shuttle lot or $72 in the walkable Weekly Lot. What you get for the extra cost is a covered space and a walk across the skyway instead of a shuttle ride. Our long-term parking comparison for ROC shows how those lots and an off-site option stack up over 7 days.

Reserved Premium Spaces

You can reserve a garage space at least 24 hours before you park, but you don't have to.

Reserved spaces are on the second floor nearest the elevators, marked by purple lights. When you book through the garage reservations page, you get a QR code to scan at the entrance and exit. Reservations are offered only while spaces last, and the price is not published on the parking pages, so check it when you book. Without a reservation, green and red lights over each aisle show open and taken spaces, and panels at the entrance show how many spaces are free on each floor.

Height, Accessibility and EV Charging

The garage has a 7 foot clearance, so tall vehicles should use a surface lot.

  • Height: 7 feet in the garage, 12 feet in the Hourly and Weekly lots, 13 feet 6 inches in the Yellow shuttle lot.
  • Accessible spaces: near the terminal on each level, shown by blue lights.
  • EV charging: one station on Level 1 (Section 1G) and two on Level 2 (Section 2G) for premium parking only. Charging costs are not published.
  • Getting around: elevators and stairways between levels; the Level 2 skyway leads to the departures level.

Garage vs Hourly Lot for Short Stays

For a stay of 2 to 8 hours, the garage and the Hourly Lot cost the same on the hour, so the covered garage is usually the better pick.

Under 2 hours the Hourly Lot is cheaper ($2 for one hour against the garage's $4 minimum). From 2 hours on, both work out to $2 an hour: 4 hours is $8 in either. The Hourly Lot bills by the half hour, so a stay ending on a half hour can be $1 less there. After 8 hours the garage stops at $16 while the Hourly Lot keeps climbing to $24. If you are meeting a passenger inside, the airport points you to the Hourly Lot, a short walk from the terminal.

Paying at the Garage and Zoom E-Z

The garage takes all major credit and debit cards, and cash at the pay-on-foot machines and in Lane 1 at the main exit plaza.

When no cashier is on duty, automated credit-card-only lanes are open at the exit plaza. If you park often, Zoom E-Z lets you register your NYS E-ZPass so the gates open automatically and the charge goes to your card on file, at no extra parking cost. A MAPCO Zoom transponder needs a $25 refundable deposit; a registered E-ZPass has no charge. Parking Rewards points also work in the garage; the Rochester airport parking rates and rewards page explains how they add up.

Garage Hours and When to Arrive

MAPCO does not publish separate garage hours; the airport itself is open 24 hours a day.

When the cashier booths are unstaffed, you pay at the automated credit-card lanes. Ticket counters open as early as 4:00 AM and security checkpoints at 4:30 AM, so plan to park at least 90 minutes before your flight.

Cheaper Than the Garage

If you don't need covered parking, the Yellow shuttle lot at $8/day halves the cost, and an off-site lot was cheaper still.

Motel 6 Rochester Airport, 1.3 miles from the terminal, came to $31.60 (about $4.50/day) for a sample 7-day booking, with a free 24/7 on-demand shuttle. For that same 6-day, 4-hour stay the garage would be $104 to $112, so the off-site lot was about $72 to $80 less. The lot does not clear snow from around or on your car. Triply prices are for a sample 7-day booking (check-in 10 AM on 13 November, check-out 2 PM on 19 November 2026), include fees, and change by date.
