As of October 2026, the El Paso airport West Lot is closed: it shut on 10 January 2026 for reconstruction and landscaping. In April 2026 the city said it would reopen later this year, but no date has been announced, so check its current status. When open it charges a flat $10 a day, paid by mobile device only. Until it returns, the Long-Term lot at $9 per 24 hours is the closest substitute on price.

Is the ELP West Lot Open?
No. The West Lot has been closed since 10 January 2026.
The airport's West Lot page says the lot is temporarily closed for construction for parking lot upgrades and encourages travelers to plan ahead and use other lots. The city said the closure was for reconstruction and landscaping, and that no vehicles could stay in the lot after 10 January.
When Will the West Lot Reopen?
The airport has not given a date.
In an April 2026 city announcement about ticketless parking, the airport said the West Lot "will reopen later this year". The airport's parking page says it will reopen soon with additional parking spaces. Neither gives a month, so check the airport's West Lot page or call the parking office at 915-771-7990 before counting on it.
Where Is the West Lot?
The West Lot is behind the Brio Station, across Convair Road from the ELP Rental Car Center.
Drivers enter from Convair Road. On foot, you reach the terminal from Terminal Drive, just across from the Short-Term lot, so it is a walk rather than a shuttle ride. Before it closed, the airport had added temporary spaces that brought it to 317 spaces for the 2025 holidays.
West Lot Price and How to Pay
The West Lot is a flat $10 a day, with no hourly rate, according to the official ELP parking rates.
- Mobile pay only: before the closure, you paid by scanning the QR code in the lot with your phone.
- Ticketless when it reopens: the airport says the West Lot will join its ticketless system, which reads your plate on entry and charges you on exit.
- No disabled veteran free parking: the airport's disabled veteran program does not apply in the West Lot or Premium Reserved.

The airport's rate page also lists a $1.99 per-transaction fee for stays of 3 hours and up. If price matters more than distance, Courtyard El Paso Airport, 2.1 miles from the terminal at 6610 International Drive, came to $33.62 for a 7-day booking, about $4.80 a day, all paid online. That is less than half the West Lot's listed $10 daily rate. Its on-demand shuttle runs 5:30 AM to 11 PM Monday to Thursday and 7 AM to 11 PM Friday to Sunday, and you check in at the hotel front desk before parking. Holiday Seasonal Lot
During peak holiday travel the airport has opened a temporary seasonal lot on Boeing Drive near the Starlight Event Center, adding 440 spaces with a free shuttle. For the 2025 holidays it charged the long-term rate and took mobile payment only, then closed in January 2026. The airport has not announced whether it will open for the 2026 holidays, so check its parking page in November.
Before You Drive to ELP
- Check the live map. The airport's parking page shows real-time availability for each open lot.
- Allow time. The airport recommends arriving at least two hours before departure, more if you will ride a shuttle.
- Old directions may point to the West Lot. Some airport pages still describe it as open, so go by the closure notice.
