A per-transaction fee also applies: none up to 10 minutes, $0.99 from 11 minutes to 3 hours, and $1.99 for 3 hours or more. The airport does not publish weekly or monthly rates. Long-Term rose from $7 to $9 a day on 1 March 2026, so older figures you may see online are out of date.
ELP Parking Lots: Which One to Use
Use Short-Term for quick trips and meeting arrivals, Long-Term for anything overnight, and Premium Reserved if you want a guaranteed shaded space next to baggage claim.
Short-Term lot ($17 per 24 hours)
The Short-Term lot sits in front of the terminal, so you walk straight in with no shuttle. The airport describes it as hourly parking for up to 24 hours and recommends it if you want to park and meet someone inside. The airport's four electric vehicle chargers are here too.
Long-Term lot ($9 per 24 hours)
The Long-Term lot is the airport's choice for overnight stays, at roughly half the Short-Term price. Free courtesy shuttles with wheelchair lifts run between the lot and the terminal 24 hours a day, and they pick up only at designated stops. Our ELP long-term parking and shuttle guide covers week-long costs, paying and the 60-day limit.
Premium Reserved ($20 per day)
Premium Reserved has 185 spaces in front of the baggage claim entrance, now shaded by a solar canopy. You enter through the west entrance of the Short-Term lot, and you must reserve at least one hour before you arrive.
West Lot ($10 per day, closed)
The West Lot, across from the Rental Car Center, has been closed since 10 January 2026 for reconstruction and landscaping. The city said in April 2026 that it would reopen later this year, but no date has been announced, so check its current status. See our West Lot status update for where it is and what to use instead.
Valet: Park Air Express ($12 per day)
The airport lists Park Air Express, at 6440 Airport Road, as its valet option, with prepaid online reservations and valet parking services. Its rate on the airport's table is $12 a day.
ELP Airport Parking Map
The airport publishes a live parking map that shows real-time availability in each lot, so check it before you leave home. Open the official ELP parking lot map for lot locations and current space counts. For the terminal itself, the airport also has an interactive terminal map linked from every page of its website. During busy holiday periods the airport has asked travelers to check the parking map before arriving, since the Short-Term lot fills fast.
How Long Can You Park in Short-Term?
The airport positions Short-Term for stays of up to 24 hours and Long-Term for overnight parking of up to 60 days.
If you plan to park for more than 30 consecutive days in any lot, call the parking office at 915-771-7990 first. After 60 days a vehicle is considered abandoned. For a trip of two nights or more, Long-Term is far cheaper: $9 a day against $17.
How to Pay: Ticketless Parking
Since 8 April 2026 every ELP lot is ticketless: you drive in and out, and your license plate is your ticket.
- Scan and go: scan the QR code at the lot entrance, or sign up in advance through the airport's ticketless parking provider, Metropolis, then add your plate and a payment method. You are charged automatically when you exit and get an electronic receipt.
- Cash and cards still work: manual and cash payment options remain. The lots accept American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa, but no foreign currency.
- West Lot: when it reopens, payment there is by mobile device only.
- Questions or receipt problems: call the parking office at 915-771-7990. Its office is at 2102 Airway Blvd, at the exit of the Short-Term parking area.
Free Parking for Disabled Veterans
Disabled veterans enrolled in the airport's program park free for their whole stay in the Long-Term lot and for up to 5 days in Short-Term, if space is available.
The program covers vehicles with qualifying Texas disabled veteran or military specialty plates, including veterans with disabilities, Purple Heart recipients, Pearl Harbor survivors, former prisoners of war, Medal of Honor recipients and surviving spouses of disabled veterans. The airport's page also mentions New Mexico plates, so confirm eligibility with the parking office. You must enroll before you enter the lot, and approval takes at least five business days. Apply through the airport's disabled veteran parking program or call 915-771-7990. Discounts are not applied after the fact. Premium Reserved and the West Lot are not included. Our ELP parking rates page covers what everyone else pays.
Parking in a disabled space requires a disabled person plate or placard that shows the International Symbol of Access; a disabled veteran plate without that symbol does not qualify for those spaces. The airport publishes no senior discount.
Cell Phone Lot and Pick-Up Rules
The free cell phone waiting lot is the place to wait for an arriving passenger, because curbside waiting is not allowed at ELP.
Stay in your car in the cell phone lot until your passenger has landed, collected their bags and called you, then pull up to the curb. Drivers must stay with their vehicles at all times, and unattended cars at the curb are ticketed and towed at the owner's expense. At the curb, you can stop only while actively loading or unloading. If you would rather meet someone inside, park in Short-Term; the meeting area is on the ground floor behind the escalators.
EV Charging, Seasonal Lots and Other Details
- EV charging: four charging stations near the Short-Term exit, at $0.49 per kWh on top of Short-Term parking. You pay through the charging network's app.
- Seasonal lot: during peak holiday seasons the airport has opened a temporary lot on Boeing Drive near the Starlight Event Center, adding 440 spaces with a free shuttle. Plans for the 2026 holidays have not been announced.
- Hours: the parking lots and Long-Term shuttles run 24 hours a day, all year. The terminal closes after the last departure and reopens at 3 AM.
- Getting there without a car: Sun Metro Route 33 and the Brio Montana rapid transit line both serve the airport. See our off-site parking guide for ELP for rideshare and shuttle tips.
Off-Site Parking Near ELP
One off-site lot near ELP is bookable on Triply, and it cost less than the Long-Term lot for our sample week.
Courtyard El Paso Airport, at 6610 International Drive, is 2.1 miles from the terminal with easy access from I-10. A sample 7-day booking came to $33.62, about $4.80 a day, all paid online. Its on-demand shuttle runs 5:30 AM to 11 PM Monday to Thursday and 7 AM to 11 PM Friday to Sunday; outside those hours you need your own ride to the terminal. You get a 100% refund if you cancel up to the day of arrival.
Triply prices are for a sample 7-day booking (check-in 10 AM on 13 November, check-out 2 PM on 19 November 2026), include taxes and fees, and change by date.
For the same stay, Long-Term would cost $54 to $63 in daily charges (6 or 7 charges, since the airport does not publish how a partial last day is billed), plus the $1.99 transaction fee, so the off-site lot was about $20 to $31 less. Enrolled disabled veterans park free in Long-Term, so it remains their best choice. Our Courtyard El Paso Airport parking guide compares the two in detail, or you can compare ELP parking on Triply.
ELP Parking Tips
- Arrive 2 hours early. The airport recommends at least two hours before departure. Check TSA rules for ID and prohibited items before you pack.
- Short stop, short walk: for a pick-up under a few hours, Short-Term costs $1 an hour plus the transaction fee, and you skip the shuttle.
- Holidays: the Short-Term lot fills fast at peak times, so plan for Long-Term or a booked space.
