How Fresno Airport Parking Fees Are Calculated

You pay $4 an hour on the first day, then the full daily rate for every hour or day after that.

  • First day, garage and Lots 2 and 3: $4 an hour, with a $17 flat daily rate.
  • After the first day: every hour or day is charged at the full $17 daily rate, so a few extra hours count as another day.
  • Economy Lot: no hourly rate; every hour or day is charged at the full $12.
  • Grace period: 5 minutes in every lot.

The airport does not publish a weekly or monthly rate. For stays longer than 30 days it asks you to call Metropolis, its parking operator, at 559-252-0052.

Service Fees and Taxes

On top of the rate, the airport lists a service fee per transaction: $0.99 for up to 1 hour, $1.80 for 1 to 4 hours and $2.80 for over 4 hours.

The airport's footnote says credit card transactions are subject to standard credit card service fees. It does not say whether the fee applies to cash, and it does not list a parking tax.

What a Trip Costs

Multiply the daily rate by the number of days or part days, then add the service fee.

2 hours (pick-up or short visit)
Economy Lot$12 + $1.80
Garage, Lot 2 or Lot 3$8 + $1.80
3 days
Economy Lot$36 + $2.80
Garage, Lot 2 or Lot 3$51 + $2.80
7 days
Economy Lot$84 + $2.80
Garage, Lot 2 or Lot 3$119 + $2.80
14 days
Economy Lot$168 + $2.80
Garage, Lot 2 or Lot 3$238 + $2.80

These are worked examples using the posted rates, not airport quotes. The 2-hour garage figure assumes the $4 hourly rate; Economy has no hourly rate, so even a short stay is a full $12 day.

Overnight and Daily Parking

Overnight parking at FAT is simply billed by the day: $17 near the terminal or $12 in Economy.

The airport publishes no separate overnight rate, and it does not say whether a parking day is a calendar day or 24 hours. After the first day, every hour or day is charged at the full daily rate.

Hotel Lots vs Airport Parking Cost

Two hotel lots next to FAT on Triply cost about $14 to $15 a day: more than Economy, less than the garage.

Triply prices are for a sample 7-day booking (check-in 13 November, check-out 19 November 2026), include taxes and fees, and change by date. Official totals use posted daily rates plus the over-4-hour service fee.

If price is all that matters, the Economy Lot is cheapest. The hotel lots cost about $2 a day more and give you a booked space with a full refund if you cancel up to the day of arrival. Best Western adds a free 24-hour shuttle, and Wyndham Garden is about a 5-minute walk. Details are in the Fresno airport parking hotel guide.

How to Pay Less for Fresno Airport Parking

The simplest saving is parking in Economy, which is $5 a day less than the garage.

  • Choose Economy for long trips. A week there is $35 less than in the garage. See the economy parking guide.
  • Time your return. After the first day, a few extra hours are charged as a full day.
  • Use the cell phone area for pickups. It is free for up to 60 minutes.
  • Disabled placard holders park free for the first 2 hours.

The airport does not publish coupons, promo codes, senior rates or a prepaid option. If you want a space booked ahead, the hotel lots above are the way to do it. Check current FAT parking prices.
