As of October 2026, Reno airport parking costs $16 to $36 per day, or $3 per hour for short stays: $16 at the Park & Walk Lot, $18 in the Long-Term Surface Lot, $22 in the Long-Term Garage and $36 in the Short-Term Garage. A week at the daily rate runs from $112 at Park & Walk to $252 in the Short-Term Garage, while an off-site lot on Triply came to $79.08 for a sample week.
Rates below come from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport parking page. RNO does not publish weekly or monthly rates, and its parking page does not mention a parking tax.
Reno-Tahoe Airport Parking Rates by Lot
All four main RNO lots charge the same hourly rate, $3 per hour after a free first 10 minutes, and the daily rate applies after six hours.
| Facility | Hourly | Daily | Weekly | Shuttle or walk |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Short-Term Garage (1st level) | First 10 min free, then $3 per hour | $36 | Not published | Closest to the terminal, crosswalk from the ground floor |
| Long-Term Garage (2nd level and roof) | First 10 min free, then $3 per hour | $22 | Not published | Skywalk to the terminal from levels 2 and 3 |
| Long-Term Surface Lot | First 10 min free, then $3 per hour | $18 | Not published | Uncovered lot close to the terminal |
| Park & Walk Lot | First 10 min free, then $3 per hour | $16 | Not published | 10 to 15 min walk, no shuttle |
| Overflow lots (only when open) | Hourly rates apply | $18 | Not published | Shuttle about every 15 min while open |
| Free Waiting Lot | Free | Free | n/a | For pick-ups only, about 4 min drive |
Because the hourly rate is the same in all four main lots, a quick pick-up costs $3 for the first hour in any of them. The Short-Term Garage is meant for stays under six hours; past that it charges $36 per day, so it is the most expensive place to leave a car overnight.
Reno Airport Parking Price Per Day
The lowest official daily price is $16 at the Park & Walk Lot and the highest is $36 in the Short-Term Garage.
- Park & Walk Lot, $16: 10 to 15 minute walk, no shuttle, card only.
- Long-Term Surface Lot, $18: uncovered, close to the terminal, no height limit.
- Overflow lots, $18: open only when the main lots fill, with a shuttle about every 15 minutes.
- Long-Term Garage, $22: covered and roof spaces, skywalk to the terminal, the only lot you can reserve.
- Short-Term Garage, $36: closest to the terminal, best for stays under six hours.
RNO does not publish a separate overnight price; any stay over six hours, including overnight, is charged the daily rate.
What a Week of Parking at RNO Costs
Seven days at RNO's daily rates cost $112 at Park & Walk, $126 in the Surface Lot, $154 in the Long-Term Garage and $252 in the Short-Term Garage.
| Option | 7-day total | About per day |
|---|---|---|
| Best Western Plus Sparks-Reno (Triply, 2.7 mi) | $79.08 | $11.30 |
| Park & Walk Lot (airport) | $112 | $16 |
| Long-Term Surface Lot (airport) | $126 | $18 |
| SureStay Plus (Triply, 0.8 mi) | $132.05 | $18.86 |
| Long-Term Garage, drive-up (airport) | $154 | $22 |
| Long-Term Garage, reserved (airport) | $158.75 | $22 plus $4.75 once |
| Short-Term Garage (airport) | $252 | $36 |
Triply prices are for a sample 7-day booking (check-in 13 November, check-out 19 November 2026), include fees, and change by date. Airport totals are 7 days at the published daily rate, because RNO does not publish a weekly rate.
For the sample week, Best Western Plus Sparks-Reno was about $33 less than the Park & Walk Lot and includes a 24/7 on-demand shuttle. SureStay Plus was about $20 more than Park & Walk and about $6 more than the Surface Lot, but it is 0.8 miles from the airport with a 24/7 on-demand shuttle, and the space is booked ahead. More on both in our Reno airport off-site parking guide.
Is Reserving the Long-Term Garage Worth the Fee?
Reserving costs the same $22 daily rate plus a one-time $4.75 booking fee, so it is not a discount; you pay for a guaranteed space.
That matters at RNO because the Long-Term Garage often switches to reservation-only ("RES*") at busy times, and the airport says hundreds of spaces can fill in as little as 20 minutes. A 7-day reservation comes to $158.75. Details are in our Reno-Tahoe airport parking reservation system guide.
Reno Airport Parking Coupons and Discounts: How to Save
RNO does not publish any parking coupon or promo code, so the savings come from picking the right lot.
- Use Park & Walk. At $16 per day it is $2 less than the Surface Lot and $6 less than the Long-Term Garage, if you can walk 10 to 15 minutes.
- Avoid the Short-Term Garage for long stays. At $36 per day it costs double the Surface Lot rate.
- Use the Free Waiting Lot for pick-ups instead of circling or parking.
- Check veteran plates. Vehicles with qualifying veteran plates, such as Disabled Veteran, Ex-POW or Purple Heart with ADA designation, park free. RNO offers no other veteran discount.
- Ride a motorcycle? Marked motorcycle and moped spaces on the Short-Term Garage first floor are free.
- Compare off-site. Prices change by date, so check current RNO rates on Triply before you go.
Extra Costs to Know
The main extra cost is the $28 lost ticket fee, which can also apply if you exit with a different card than you entered with.
The Park & Walk Lot and overflow lots take cards only, and Pay on Foot and Pay in Lane machines are only in the garages. Every lot has a 10-minute free grace period. For lot-by-lot details, see the RNO airport parking guide.
