What Changed With RNO Parking Reservations
RNO switched from a previous third-party system to its own reservation system in early October 2026 and moved customer service in-house to its parking team.
The airport says it changed after a year-long trial of the old system and feedback about QR codes and getting help. The old system no longer accepts new bookings, but reservations already made there are honored through their dates. For the new system, call RNO parking at (775) 328-6552 or (775) 328-6551.
What You Can Reserve and What It Costs
You can reserve a space in the Long-Term Garage (second floor and roof) only, at the regular $22 daily rate plus a $4.75 booking fee.
The airport says the fee is a one-time flat charge with no taxes or additional service charges. Other lots are listed as "coming soon". A reservation guarantees a space but not a specific spot: park in the first open space you find. For a 7-day trip, that is $154 in parking plus $4.75, or $158.75.

Why Reserve: RNO Parking Availability
Reserving matters because the Long-Term Garage often switches to reservation-only, shown as "RES*" on the live availability tracker.
The airport says hundreds of spaces can fill in as little as 20 minutes, and the busiest periods are holidays and Washoe County school breaks. When every lot shows full or reservation-only, staff direct you to overflow parking at $18 per day. Check live counts on the RNO parking page.
How to Book a Reservation
Book at reservation.renoairport.com at least six hours before you want to park.
- Choose your entry and exit date and time (in 15-minute steps).
- Pay the parking total plus the $4.75 booking fee.
- Save the QR code on your phone. A screenshot is recommended; you do not need to print it, and a photo of a computer screen will not scan.
- At the Long-Term Garage entry, scan the QR code. Do not pull a ticket.
- Scan the same QR code to exit.
If you pull a ticket by mistake, use the call button at the exit so you are not charged twice. Creating an account makes it easier to change your booking later. The airport suggests arriving two hours before departure and allowing up to 15 minutes to find a space.
Can I Arrive Early or Late for My Parking Reservation?
Yes: your QR code works up to two hours before your reserved start time and any time during the reserved period.
If you stay past your reserved end time, you pay the extra time at the exit, and the airport says vehicles will not be towed for overstays. If you leave early, there is no partial refund for unused time.
Changing or Cancelling a Reservation
You can change, extend or cancel online, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before your arrival time.
If an airline cancels your flight, contact the parking team as soon as possible at (775) 328-6551; restrictions apply and you may need to show proof of the cancellation.
Accessible Parking With a Reservation
Accessible spaces are on levels 2 and 3 of the Long-Term Garage, with direct access to the terminal by skywalk.
The airport says accessible spaces may still be open even when the garage shows full. Drive to the garage entrance and press the call button to reach an attendant; a valid placard is required. RNO has more than 90 accessible spaces in total, including 12 van-accessible.
