These are the airport's own figures from RIC's parking page. Hourly rates are charged on fractional hours.

Hourly Parking Cost

Hourly parking is $4/hour up to $40/day, and the first 60 minutes are free.

That makes it the right choice for meeting someone inside or a quick drop-off with help at the counter. For anything overnight it's the most expensive self-park option. The Daily garage, in the same North and South Garages, is $3/hour up to $15/day.

Richmond Airport Parking Garage Rates

Garage parking costs $15/day in Daily and $40/day in Hourly; both are in the North and South Garages across from the terminal.

Both are a short walk from the terminal. Hourly's first 60 minutes are free, which suits quick pickups; for anything overnight, Daily caps at $15/day versus $40 in Hourly. The garages clear vehicles up to 8' 2".

Overnight Parking Cost

A stay of up to one day at RIC costs $10 in Economy, $15 in the Daily garage, $40 in Hourly or $30 with valet.

For a single overnight, the Daily garage is only $5 more than Economy and puts you steps from the terminal with no shuttle ride. For two nights or more, the gap grows by $5 each day.

Cost per Day for a 7-Day Trip

A week in Economy costs $70, a week in the Daily garage $105, and a week in Hourly $280.

Assumption: 7 full days of parking at the October 2026 published rates, with no weekly cap (RIC doesn't publish one). Valet is left out because RIC lists $30/day plus $2/hour after the first 24 hours and doesn't publish a multi-day total.

The DoubleTree and Sheraton come to about $9 more than Economy for the week; you pay that for a space held in advance. Best Western is about $28 less than Economy, but with no shuttle listed you'll need two rides to and from the terminal.

Parking Fees and Recent Rate Changes

RIC raised every parking rate on 1 July 2025, the first across-the-board increase in 22 years.

  • Daily: $12 to $15/day
  • Economy: $7 to $10/day
  • Hourly: $24 to $40/day
  • Valet: $25 to $30/day

The airport's CEO said to expect incremental increases over the next few years, so check the official page before you go. RIC doesn't publish a lost-ticket fee; if you have a ticket problem, call Parking Services at 804-236-4030.

How to Save on Parking at Richmond Airport

The biggest saving is choosing Economy over the garages: $10/day instead of $15 or $40.

  • Use Economy for any trip over a day. A week costs $35 less than the Daily garage.
  • Don't park to pick someone up. Wait in the free Cell Phone Waiting Lot, or use Hourly's free first 60 minutes.
  • Avoid Hourly overnight. At $40/day it costs more than valet.
  • Price the hotel lots for your dates. Rates on Triply change by date, so check yours. See RIC parking prices on Triply.

Looking for a coupon? RIC doesn't list a parking promo code on its parking page, so the reliable savings come from the choices above rather than a code.

How to Pay

Pay at AutoExpress pay stations in the terminal and garages, or by major credit card at the exit plaza.

Apple Pay and Google Pay are accepted, and cashiers work the exit plaza 24/7. Valet takes cash and major cards. There's no official prepay for airport lots; Triply hotel lots are paid when you book online.

For garages, closures, valet and pickup, see the RIC airport parking guide. For stays of a week or more, see Richmond airport long-term parking, and for hotel lots, Richmond airport off-site parking.
