Richmond Airport Economy Parking: Lots A and B
Economy is the airport's long-term lot, and it's split into two lots, A and B.
RIC's current parking page lists one "Economy" product at $10/day. Airport notices and local news refer to Economy A and Economy B, and 2025 reporting put Economy A at 5500 Eubank Road. RIC doesn't publish separate rates for A and B.
The two lots back each other up. From January to March 2026, sections of Lot B closed for one to two weeks at a time for seasonal maintenance, with overflow sent to Lot A. When the terminal garages fill, drivers are directed to Economy A and B as well.
Long-Term Parking Shuttle
The Economy shuttle is free and runs 24/7.
RIC calls it the EasyPark shuttle and says the shuttles are wheelchair accessible. The airport doesn't publish how often it runs, so allow extra time, especially on busy mornings. During the September 2025 overflow, EasyPark shuttles picked travelers up at their cars in Economy B.
Before you leave the car, note your lot (A or B) and the row so you can find it again when the shuttle drops you off. If you have mobility needs, RIC's accessibility line is 804-226-3000.
Long-Term Parking Address and Directions
Economy is on airport property, off Airport Drive on Ferncroft Road.
Economy A is at 5500 Eubank Road, per 2025 local reporting. Message signs on Airport Drive direct drivers to Economy A and B when the garages are full, so follow them rather than circling the garages.
Weekly and Extended Parking
RIC doesn't publish a weekly rate or cap, so each day is charged at the daily rate.
At $10/day, a week in Economy is $70 and two weeks is $140. In the Daily garage, the same two weeks would be $210. RIC doesn't publish a monthly rate either. On a long trip, the $5/day difference between Economy and the garage adds up quickly: $35 a week, $70 over two weeks. RIC lists Economy at $10/day or $1/hour but doesn't publish how a partial final day is totaled, so budget for a full extra day if you'll be a few hours over.
Satellite and Remote Parking
Economy is RIC's remote lot: you park about half a mile out and take the free shuttle in.
The other remote choice is a hotel lot near the airport. On Triply, the Sheraton (1.1 mi) and DoubleTree (1.6 mi) run their own shuttles and cost about $9 more than Economy for the sample week, so you're paying for a space held in advance, not a lower price. Best Western (1.5 mi) is about $6/day but lists no shuttle, so you'd need a rideshare or taxi each way. Full comparison in Richmond airport off-site parking.
One thing to watch: RIC has proposed a 5,500-space parking deck on the Economy A lot. As of 2025 coverage it was still in planning, and we found no sign that work has started. If construction begins, Economy A could lose spaces.
Long-Term Parking Fees
Economy went from $7 to $10/day on 1 July 2025, part of the first across-the-board rate rise at RIC in 22 years.
The airport said to expect incremental increases over the next few years. There's no official way to lock in a rate ahead of time: you pay on exit at whatever rate applies.
