As of October 2026, three hotel lots near RIC are bookable on Triply: Sheraton Richmond Airport (1.1 mi, about $11/day), DoubleTree by Hilton Richmond Airport (1.6 mi, about $11/day) and Best Western Plus Richmond Airport (1.5 mi, about $6/day, no shuttle listed). The airport's own Economy lot is $10/day with a free 24/7 shuttle, so the two shuttle hotels cost a little more than Economy, not less.

The DoubleTree is 1.6 miles out and about $11/day for the sample week, almost the same as the Sheraton.

Best Western Plus Richmond Airport

Best Western is the cheapest option near RIC at about $6/day, but no shuttle is listed, so plan a rideshare or taxi to the terminal.

It's at 5300 Airport Square Lane, 1.5 miles from the airport, and availability was limited for the sample dates. Price two rides into your total: one to the terminal and one back. Coming home, rideshare pickups at RIC are on the Upper Departures Level (no checked bags) or the Lower Arrivals Level (baggage claim); follow the green "Ride App Pickup" signs. Off-Site Parking vs Official Economy

For a week, official Economy is $70, the Sheraton and DoubleTree are about $79, and Best Western is about $42 plus two rides.

So the Sheraton and DoubleTree aren't cheaper than Economy. What you get for about $9 more is a space held in advance, a front-desk check-in and a hotel shuttle instead of the airport's. That can matter: in fall 2025 the RIC garages filled at least once a week during lighting work, and overflow went to Economy.
