Here is what one night, a weekend or a week costs in each lot, what changed in 2024 and how to keep the bill down. The SAV airport parking overview covers lot locations, pick-up rules and accessibility.
What Does a Night at SAV Cost?
A single overnight stay costs $7 to $35 depending on where you park, and every lot charges $2 an hour until it reaches the daily cap.
| Facility | Hourly | Daily | Weekly (7 days) | Shuttle |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lots A, B, D (Lot C for overflow) | $2 | $7 | $49 | None; walkways, 878 to 1,300 ft |
| Economy Parking (garage) | $2 | $12 | $84 | None; covered walkway, 385 ft |
| Terminal Parking (Long Term/Hourly garage) | $2 | $18 | $126 | None; covered walkway, 150 ft |
| Valet | n/a | $35 | $245 | Drop off at Departures, pick up at Arrivals |
| Cell Phone Waiting Lot | Free | Free | n/a | Stay with your car |
Rates come from the airport's official parking rates. The airport doesn't publish whether a "day" runs midnight to midnight or 24 hours, so a short overnight stay could be billed as one or two days. Here are common trip lengths at the daily maximum:
| Stay | Lots A, B, D | Economy | Terminal | Valet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 day | $7 | $12 | $18 | $35 |
| 2 days | $14 | $24 | $36 | $70 |
| 3 days | $21 | $36 | $54 | $105 |
| 5 days | $35 | $60 | $90 | $175 |
| 7 days | $49 | $84 | $126 | $245 |
The 2024 Parking Rate Increase
SAV raised daily parking rates on 18 June 2024, and today's rates are the same as the ones set then.
| Facility | Before 18 June 2024 | Since 18 June 2024 |
|---|---|---|
| Surface (value and overflow) lots | $5 | $7 |
| Economy garage | $8 | $12 |
| Long Term/Hourly garage | $12 | $18 |
| Valet | $20 | $35 |
The airport's rate change announcement says it was the first change since 2011 and that the money funds new parking, after near-terminal lots filled on busy weekends and pushed cars to overflow parking on Ida J. Gadsden Drive. The plan adds 1,000 surface spaces first, then a future garage. The airport board approved it in February 2024.
How to Save on Overnight Parking
The simplest saving is the lot you pick: the surface lots at $7 a night cost $11 less than Terminal Parking and $28 less than valet.
- Park in Lots A, B or D. A week there is $49, against $84 in Economy and $126 in Terminal Parking. Our SAV long-term lot guide compares the walk from each.
- Get dropped off. A curbside drop-off at Departures avoids parking fees, and the Cell Phone Waiting Lot is free for whoever picks you up.
- Skip valet unless you need it. At $35 a night it is five times the surface-lot rate.
- Don't look for codes. The airport doesn't publish discount codes, a parking rewards program, reservations or a military or disabled-veteran parking discount; placard holders pay the posted rate.
Booking an Overnight Space Off-Airport
On Triply, Candlewood Suites at 50 Stephen South Green Drive came to $58.53 for a sample week, about $8.36/day, so it is not cheaper than the $7 surface lots.
It is about $3.60 a day cheaper than Economy on parking alone, but there is no shuttle: you pay for your own rideshare or taxi across the 2.3 miles each way. What it adds is a space booked in advance (the airport takes none), paid in full online, with a 100% refund if you cancel up to the day of arrival. Triply prices are for 13 to 19 November 2026, include fees and change by date; check your own dates on the Savannah airport parking page.
Valet Overnight
Valet works for overnight stays at $35 a night, with drop-off at Departures from 4:30 am.
The airport's FAQ lists valet hours as 4:30 am to 12:30 am, and its parking page says pick-up runs through the last scheduled arrival on the Baggage/Arrivals Level. If someone else is collecting the car, they need their driver's license and a picture of the valet ticket. Valet can't be reserved, and the airport doesn't publish a valet phone number; its general line is (912) 964-0514. Over a week, valet adds $196 compared with the surface lots.
Before You Park Overnight
Check the airport's parking page for maintenance notices before you go.
As of October 2026, the airport listed the fourth level of Terminal Parking as closed for maintenance through 31 October 2026 and the North Economy Garage as closed through 18 November 2026; check current status on its parking page before you go. If you want the shortest walk after a late arrival, the Long Term/Hourly garage is 150 feet from the terminal. For an early flight, the airport recommends arriving 2 to 3 hours ahead, with extra time for parking at peak periods.
