Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is the largest airport in the Pacific Northwest and 9th-busiest in the United States. 52.7 million passengers in 2025 (a record). Alaska Airlines operates its primary hub from Concourses C, D, and the North Satellite. Delta Air Lines runs a major international gateway from the South Satellite (handling Emirates A380 service among other long-haul flights).

SEA has a single terminal with 4 concourses (A, B, C, D) plus 2 satellite terminals (North and South) connected by underground trains. The Link Light Rail station is on the airport's mezzanine level, accessible via skybridge from the main terminal.

On-airport parking at SEA centers on the largest parking garage under one roof in North America — 13,000+ spaces across 8 floors. General Parking is $32/day; Reserved Parking on Floor 4 is $39/day (must pre-book). Off-airport parking through Triply usually costs less than the General Parking rate; the lot list on this page shows current per-day rates, and a search with your dates shows your total with taxes and fees.

Seattle Airport Marriott — Closest bookable lot at 0.9 miles. Free 24/7 shuttle every 15 minutes from the hotel entrance, no reservation needed (between 1:00 and 2:00 AM, call the hotel for a pickup). Well-lit, gated outdoor lot with onsite security. Standard vehicles only — large trucks, extended vans, trailers and oversized racks may be turned away.

Evods Parking at Spark by Hilton SEA-TAC Airport — Valet lot 1.0 mile out: hand your keys to the attendant at drop-off. 24/7 shuttle every 30 minutes, on the hour and half hour. Perimeter fencing, controlled access, 24/7 video surveillance and on-site staff.

Fox Parking SeaTac — 2.6 miles out (about 5–10 minutes). Free 24/7 shuttle every 15–20 minutes or on demand; request your return pickup with the E-Parking link texted at check-in. Outdoor self-park with valet help available, staffed 24/7. EV drivers can book an all-inclusive Valet + Charging rate.

Motel 6 — 2.0 miles out. Free shuttle once an hour, on the hour, 7:00 AM–10:00 PM only — no shuttle overnight, so check your flight time. Fully fenced and monitored by security cameras.

Sound Transit's Link Light Rail (1 Line) provides direct rail service from SEA to downtown Seattle, the University of Washington, and Northgate. The station is on the airport's mezzanine level (4th floor of parking garage), accessible via skybridge from the main terminal — no shuttle needed.

Fare is $3.00 to downtown ($2.25–$3.50 depending on distance). Service runs Mon–Sat 5 AM–1 AM, Sun/holidays 6 AM–midnight. Trains every 8–15 minutes.

During rush hour, Light Rail is often FASTER than driving — I-5 traffic can stretch the 14-mile drive to 45+ minutes. The 38-minute Light Rail ride bypasses the freeway entirely.

For Eastside destinations (Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland), there's no direct rail until East Link opens. Use rideshare ($40–$75) or rental car.

SEA leads all North American airports in free EV charging. 48 ChargePoint Level 2 stations are spread across multiple floors of the main parking garage — completely free for parking garage users (included in the parking fee). Available first-come, first-served.

Off-site, Fox Parking SeaTac offers an all-inclusive Valet + Charging rate for EV drivers.

What's coming under the Sustainable Airport Master Plan (SAMP):

• C Concourse Expansion ($260M) — 10+ new restaurants, new retail, artwork, airside observation deck. Substantial completion Q2 2026 ahead of FIFA World Cup matches in Seattle.

• SEA Gateway Project — Roadway and terminal frontage improvements. Completion 2026.

• New Second Terminal (19 gates) — FAA-approved September 2025. 575,000 sq ft, three-level terminal with skybridge and 1,350-space garage. Target capacity: 56M passengers by 2032.

• Delta Sky Club Concourse A — New second Sky Club opened 2025 as part of Concourse A expansion.

The airport remains fully operational throughout. Parking garage stays open.

• Pre-book online — Pre-booked rates are typically lower than walk-up rates, and pre-booking guarantees your space.

• Free EV charging on-airport — 48 ChargePoint Level 2 stations included with parking. First-come, first-served. Use the ChargePoint app to find availability.

• Take Light Rail when possible — At $3, it beats the $30–$50 rideshare to downtown and is often faster during rush hour. Walk from baggage claim to the mezzanine via skybridge.

• Cell Phone Lot is free — South of the terminal off Airport Expressway. 30-minute max stay.

• Verify off-site shuttle hours — Seattle Airport Marriott, Evods and Fox Parking SeaTac all run 24/7. Motel 6's shuttle runs hourly 7 AM–10 PM only.

• Watch for cruise ship arrivals — Pier 91 cruise season (May–October) creates major airport surges on turnaround days. Allow extra time.

• 2026 World Cup impact — FIFA matches in Seattle will spike demand. Book parking weeks ahead.
