Albany Airport Economy Lot: $7/Day E-Lot, 24/7 Shuttle and Location (2026)

As of October 2026, the Albany airport economy lot (the E-Lot) costs $7/day, the lowest official rate at ALB, and includes a free shuttle to the terminal that runs 24/7. It is southeast of the airport with access directly off Albany Shaker Road. The first hour is free, 1 to 2 hours is $2 and 2 to 3 hours is $4.

Albany Airport Economy Parking Rates

The E-Lot's daily maximum is $7, about $49 for a full week at the posted rate.

The rate is from the Albany International Airport parking page and has applied since 1 January 2025. Multi-day totals are the daily maximum times the days, before any tax; the airport does not say whether tax is added or how it counts partial days, and it publishes no weekly rate.

Economy Lot Shuttle Hours

The E-Lot shuttle runs 24/7 and is free.

The airport's parking map says the E-Lot "includes shuttle to terminal 24/7". It does not publish how often the shuttle runs, so build in some extra time before your flight on top of the airport's advice to arrive at least two hours before departure. The shuttle buses have a low chassis and a hydraulic lift at the back for wheelchairs.

Where Is the Albany Airport Economy Lot (Lot E)?

The E-Lot is southeast of the airport, entered directly from Albany Shaker Road.

It is separate from the Long Term lot, which sits behind the North Parking Garage near the terminal. The cell phone lot is also on Albany Shaker Road, on the right side as you approach from I-87 (temporarily closed for expansion until early November 2026; use the temporary lot at Heritage Lane and Albany Shaker Road). Paying at the E-Lot

Pay with E-ZPass Plus, a credit card or cash; the airport takes no reservations.

• E-ZPass Plus: most airport lots accept it, and the tag is read on entry and exit.
• Credit card: insert the same card at entry and exit, which all lots accept.
• Cash: take a ticket and pay at the pay-on-foot station in baggage claim near carousel #2 before you ride back.

Accessible spaces are in every lot, for vehicles with a handicapped plate or a valid placard. The E-Lot has no EV chargers listed; the free chargers are in the Long Term lot and the garages.

Who Should Use the E-Lot?

The E-Lot suits anyone parking for a day or more who doesn't mind a shuttle ride.

• Week-long trips: $49 for 7 days, against $84 in the Long Term lot and $126 in a garage.
• Early or late flights: the shuttle runs 24/7, so it covers red-eyes and first-wave departures.
• Short visits: the first hour is free here too, but the garages and the cell phone lot are closer for pickups.

E-Lot vs Long Term Lot vs Hotel Parking

The E-Lot is the cheapest way to park at ALB; the alternatives cost more but get you a shorter walk or a booked space.

The official ranges show 6 daily charges at the low end and 7 at the high end, because the airport does not publish how it bills the extra 4 hours of a stay like this, or whether tax is added to its posted rates. Triply prices are for a sample stay (check-in 10 AM on 13 November, check-out 2 PM on 19 November 2026, billed as 7 days), include taxes and fees, and change by date.
