The official ranges show 6 daily charges at the low end and 7 at the high end, because the airport does not publish how it bills the extra 4 hours of a stay like this, or whether tax is added to its posted rates. Even at the high end, the E-Lot stays under both hotel lots. Baymont stays under the Long Term lot either way, while Hampton Inn falls inside the Long Term lot's range.

The Long Term Lot: Walk to the Terminal for $12/Day

The Long Term lot is the cheapest official option you can walk from, at $12/day behind the North Parking Garage.

The main entrance defaults to an E-ZPass Plus lane if you have a tag. If you'd rather pay by card or cash, put your tag in an E-ZPass read-prevention bag or use the Long Term entrance at the back of the garage: take the first left after driving in front of the North Garage. While terminal construction continues, the airport suggests Long Term parkers use the south crosswalk, which connects directly to airline ticketing. The lot also has 11 free EV charging stations: 3 at the back near the exit plaza and 8 on the west side.

Economy E-Lot: The Lowest Official Price

The E-Lot costs $7/day and includes a free shuttle to the terminal that runs 24/7.

It sits southeast of the airport with access directly off Albany Shaker Road. The airport does not publish shuttle frequency, so leave a little extra time on the way out. Shuttle buses have a hydraulic wheelchair lift. Our Albany airport economy lot guide has the full detail.

Hotel Park-and-Fly Lots for Long Stays

Baymont and Hampton Inn cost more than the E-Lot; Baymont costs less than the Long Term lot and Hampton Inn about the same, and you book the space ahead.

Both include a 100% refund up to the day of arrival and front-desk check-in. Baymont is 0.8 miles away and runs an on-demand shuttle from 4 AM to 11 PM, with no shuttle overnight. Hampton Inn is 1.7 miles away; its shuttle leaves for the airport every hour from 4 AM to 10:30 PM, and you call 518-438-2822 for a return pickup. If your flight leaves or lands late at night, the E-Lot's 24/7 shuttle is the safer pick. Compare both in our Albany airport park and fly hotels guide.

Tips for Leaving Your Car Long Term at ALB

Pick your lot by price first, then by when your flights leave and land.

  • Arrive at least two hours before departure, as the airport advises, plus shuttle time if you use the E-Lot or a hotel lot.
  • Pay with E-ZPass Plus or a credit card to skip the pay station. With cash, take a ticket and pay at the pay-on-foot station in baggage claim near carousel #2.
  • Charge your EV for free in the Long Term lot or the garages.
  • For the full picture of every lot, see the ALB airport parking guide, or book a hotel lot on Triply.
