What a Stay Costs at ORF

A weekend in Daily Parking costs $42 and a week $98; the same stays in Hourly cost $90 and $210.

These totals are simple math from the published rates. The airport doesn't say whether a partial hour is rounded up or how a partial final day is billed; its online fee calculator notes that estimates are based on your date and time of entry, so use it for your exact times.

Why Daily Parking Beats Hourly for Any Stay

Daily costs $3 an hour against Hourly's $5, so it is cheaper whether you stay one hour or one week.

The only thing Hourly buys you is its spot on Level 1 of Garage A. Daily Parking starts on Level 3 of the same garage, and Garages B, C and D are Daily too, all within a short walk of the terminals. Our Norfolk airport garage-by-garage guide explains which garage suits a tall vehicle or an EV. The one exception is under 30 minutes, which is free in both.

Daily Parking per Day vs an Off-Site Lot

Econo Lodge Norfolk Airport on Triply came to about $9.25/day for a sample week, about $4.75/day under ORF's $14 Daily cap, but you need your own ride to the terminal.

For 13 to 19 November (billed as 7 days), the lot came to $64.75 on Triply against $96 to $98 for the same stay in ORF Daily Parking (six $14 days plus either 4 hours at $3 or a seventh full day, since the airport doesn't say how a partial last day is billed). Triply prices are for the sample dates shown, include fees and change by date. The lot, at 3343 N Military Hwy 1.1 miles away, lists its shuttle as temporarily suspended and says you may arrange your own Uber or Lyft, so add those two rides before deciding; on a short trip they can erase the saving. The full comparison is on our ORF long-term parking rates page, or see Econo Lodge Norfolk Airport rates for your dates.

How to Pay ORF Parking Fees

Pay by card or phone at the exit: cash is not accepted.

Self-service lanes take major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Visa or Mastercard debit cards that run as credit; PIN debit doesn't work. The parking page mentions reverse ATMs that turn cash into a card for a fee, but the airport's Know Before You Go page says cash conversion cards are not accepted for parking charges, so bring a credit card or phone wallet. Exit lanes have an intercom to reach an attendant.

What Picking Someone Up Costs

Picking someone up at ORF can cost nothing if you use the Park & Wait Lot or keep a garage visit under 30 minutes.

The free Park & Wait Lot has 80 spaces: stay with your car until your passenger calls, then pull up at the Arrivals Terminal curb at baggage claim. That curb is a loading zone only, with no parking or waiting. If you'd rather meet them inside, any lot or garage is free under 30 minutes; after that, a Daily garage is $3 for the first hour against $5 in Hourly.

Fees and Limits to Know Before You Park

The main limits are the 60-day maximum in Daily Parking and 30 days in Hourly.

  • Long stays: past 60 days, call (757) 857-3348 to request an extended stay.
  • Lost ticket: the airport doesn't publish a lost-ticket fee.
  • Accessible parking: placard holders get the free first 30 minutes like everyone, and the airport says no additional discounts apply.
  • Prepaid rates: ORF suspended new prepaid reservations effective 31 August 2026 (its parking page says 1 September). Our ORF parking discounts and promo codes page covers what replaced them.
