That was about $28 less than Economy Green, the cheapest official lot at $10/day with a 24/7 shuttle. How the Shuttle Works

The shuttle to the airport leaves every hour on the half hour from 4 AM to midnight, from the hotel lobby only; on your return you call for a pick-up.

1. Check in at the front desk when you arrive and email the agent a copy of your reservation receipt.
2. Catch the next shuttle on the half hour. Airlines suggest being at the airport 2 hours before your flight, so get to the lot before that window plus up to an hour's wait.
3. After you collect your bags, call (210) 804-0100 for an on-demand pick-up. Off-site shuttles stop outside baggage claim on the lower level, where pick-up spots have shifted slightly during construction.

There is no shuttle between midnight and 4 AM, so this lot doesn't suit a very early or very late flight. SAT's own checkpoints open at 3:30 AM.

When Off-Site Parking Makes Sense

Off-site parking at SAT suits trips of several days where saving money matters more than shuttle frequency.

• Pick Homewood Suites for a multi-day trip with a daytime flight when you can allow for an hourly shuttle.

• Have your receipt ready: the front desk asks you to email it a copy on arrival.
• Time the shuttle: it leaves on the half hour, so plan to reach the lot well before the departure you want.
• Check your flight time: the airport advises arriving at least 2 hours before flights leaving before 7:30 AM and 1.5 hours for later flights.
• Measure your vehicle: large vehicles that take more than one space pay for each space used.

Getting to SAT Without Parking

If you would rather not park at all, VIA Route 5 runs between the far west end of Terminal B and downtown in about 30 minutes for $1.30, and the Route 7 Stone Oak Express runs to the airport on weekdays for $2.60.
