CHS Economy Lot: Location, Shuttle and Hours
The Economy Lot is a surface lot across from the Daily Parking Garage, open 24 hours a day, with a shuttle every five minutes.
Accessible spaces are next to the shuttle pickup shelters. It charges $5 an hour up to the $13 daily maximum, so it caps within 3 hours. If you need help at the exit, press the phone icon at the exit station. Rates and lot details are on the airport's parking and rates page, which also shows live availability before you leave.
Overflow Lot and "Economy Lot B"
CHS lists one Economy Lot plus an Overflow Lot; its parking page shows no separate "Lot B".
The Overflow Lot is behind the CRAA Annex Building, with access from Porsche Blvd./RAC Access Road. It opens when the Economy Lot is full, which the airport says is common in busy seasons including holiday travel. It costs the same $5 an hour and $13/day, and its shuttle also runs every five minutes.

Is There Monthly Parking at CHS?
No: every airport garage and lot has a 30-day maximum stay, and CHS publishes no monthly rate.
Thirty days in Economy comes to $390 at the daily max. If you lose your ticket, you are charged $13 for each day in Economy or Overflow, so keep it somewhere safe for a long trip.
Accessible Long-Term Parking
Qualified drivers with a disability placard or plate park free for the first 48 hours, then pay the $13 surface-lot rate in Economy.
In the Economy Lot, all accessible spaces are near the shuttle pickup shelters. To get the discount, show a valid state-issued placard with matching government ID, or a handicap plate with matching registration and ID, and the person it was issued to must be in the car when you exit. The discount is applied at the exit station.
Holiday Tips for Long-Term Parking
At busy times, leave extra time: the airport warns that spaces fill quickly and the Overflow Lot opens once Economy is full.
- Check availability first. The airport posts live counts on iflychs.com.
- Allow for the shuttle. In its November 2025 holiday travel tips, CHS advised extra time for remote parking and said its remote and seasonal lots have a 24-hour complimentary shuttle.
- Follow the signs. Construction of the new parking garage can shift traffic patterns and add detours.
- Arrive early. CHS recommends 90 minutes to two hours before departure.
Economy Lot vs the Garages for Long Trips
For long trips, Economy saves $4/day against the Daily Garage and $8/day against the Hourly Garage.
The garages let you walk instead of taking the shuttle, and the Hourly Garage has two covered floors. If walking to the terminal matters more than the savings, our Charleston airport parking garage guide compares the two decks. If you would rather not park at all, valet parking at CHS is $25/day.
Off-Site Long-Term Parking Near CHS
For a sample week, Embassy Suites Charleston Airport came to $49.68 on Triply, about $7.10/day, which is about $6/day less than Economy.

Its free shuttle runs every 30 minutes from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM, there is no shuttle overnight, you call 843-747-1882 for the ride back, and bookings need at least 4 days. Cancelling up to the day of arrival gets a full refund. Triply prices are for the sample dates shown (13 to 19 November 2026, 7 billed days), include fees, and change by date.
| Sample week (13 to 19 Nov) | Total | Shuttle |
|---|---|---|
| Embassy Suites Charleston Airport | $49.68 | Every 30 min, 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM |
| Economy Lot | $78 to $91 | Every 5 min |
Economy wins on shuttle frequency and has no minimum stay; the off-site lot wins on price and is booked ahead. The Charleston airport hotel parking guide explains its check-in steps.
