As of October 2026, CHS airport valet parking costs $25/day at most. You hand the car to an attendant at the curb and walk a few steps into the terminal; on return you collect it at the Valet Service desk at the very end of baggage claim. The valet booth is open 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the pick-up counter is open 24/7.

Valet is one of five ways to park at Charleston International; our CHS parking overview compares all of them.

How CHS Valet Parking Works

You drop off at the terminal curb and pick up inside baggage claim, so there is no shuttle or walk from a lot.

  1. Drive to the terminal curb and leave the car with a valet attendant.
  2. Walk a few steps to the terminal entrance.
  3. When you land, go to the Valet Service desk at the very end of baggage claim, where your car will be waiting.
  4. Pay the valet rate, up to $25 for each day.

Valet customers agree to a waiver, posted on the airport's CHS parking page, that covers the use of booster packs and portable engine starters.

CHS Valet Hours and Phone Number

The CHS valet booth is open 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the pick-up counter is open 24/7.

Call (843) 767-7063 with valet questions. The airport does not say how drop-off works outside the booth's hours, so if your flight leaves before 4:00 a.m. or you arrive after 8:00 p.m. to drop off, call ahead. The TSA checkpoint opens at 3:30 a.m. Collecting your car is simpler: with the pick-up counter open 24/7, a late-night landing is not a problem.

How Much Does Valet Cost Compared With Self-Parking?

Valet costs $4/day more than the Hourly Garage, $8/day more than the Daily Garage and $12/day more than Economy.

1 day
Valet ($25)$25
Hourly Garage ($21)$21
Daily Garage ($17)$17
Economy ($13)$13
3 days
Valet ($25)$75
Hourly Garage ($21)$63
Daily Garage ($17)$51
Economy ($13)$39
7 days
Valet ($25)$175
Hourly Garage ($21)$147
Daily Garage ($17)$119
Economy ($13)$91

The airport publishes only a daily maximum for valet, not an hourly rate, and it does not say whether rates include tax. Totals assume one charge per day. For every facility's hourly prices, see our CHS parking rates guide.

Can You Reserve Valet at CHS?

The airport's site lists no way to reserve or prepay valet; you simply drive up to the terminal curb.

If you want a space confirmed before you leave home, the only bookable option on Triply at CHS is an off-site lot (below). The airport's garages and lots are capped at 30 days; for a very long valet stay, call (843) 767-7063 first.

Valet and Accessible Parking

Valet does not offer the handicap discount.

Drivers with a valid disability placard or plate get the first 48 hours free in the Daily Garage or surface lots, then pay the usual rate. If you qualify, self-parking in the Daily Garage is likely to cost less than valet for a short trip.

When Valet Is Worth It

Valet makes sense when time or mobility matters more than $8 to $12 a day.

  • Tight on time: no lot to find and no shuttle to wait for.
  • Heavy bags or small children: drop-off is a few steps from the entrance, and pick-up is inside baggage claim.
  • Late arrivals: the pick-up counter is open 24/7.
  • Short trips: over one or two days the premium is small. Over a week, valet costs $84 more than Economy.

Valet vs the Hourly Garage for Short Trips

For a single day, valet costs $25 against $21 in the Hourly Parking Garage, so the convenience costs $4.

For a stay of a few hours, the Hourly Garage is far cheaper at $3 an hour; the airport publishes only a $25 daily maximum for valet, not an hourly rate. If you are meeting an arriving flight rather than flying yourself, skip both: the Cell Phone Waiting Area on International Blvd. is free while you stay with your car. At busy times the airport says parking fills quickly, and its live availability panel on iflychs.com shows whether valet is open before you set off.

Cheaper Alternatives to Valet

Every other option at CHS costs less per day than valet.

Whichever you choose, CHS recommends arriving 90 minutes to two hours before departure; see the airport's security checkpoint page for hours.
