Hourly Parking Garage

The Hourly Parking Garage is the closest choice for short visits, at $3 an hour up to $21 a day.

It has two floors of covered parking and an open-air third floor, and the airport describes it as a short walk from boarding. The maximum vehicle height is 7'11", so check a roof box or a tall van before you drive in. Accessible spaces are on the second floor.

Daily Parking Garage

The Daily Parking Garage is the cheaper garage for whole days, at $17/day or $5 an hour.

It is a multi-level deck with security, enhanced lighting and wayfinding signs, and its top level is open-air for drivers who prefer uncovered parking. The Economy Lot sits across from it. The airport does not publish a height limit for this garage. In November 2025, the airport said a remote Check 'N Go baggage check station for domestic flights was on the Daily Garage's second level; check current status with the airport before you rely on it.

New Parking Garage: PG3 Construction

CHS is building Parking Garage 3 (PG3), a six-level garage with 5,164 spaces for private vehicles, expected to open in 2027.

The $348 million, 2.4 million square foot project broke ground in October 2024 and also adds 2,036 rental car spaces and a consolidated rental car facility. The airport's projects and development page lists enhanced lighting, electric vehicle charging and eco-friendly features, and says the first half topped out within twelve months of groundbreaking, with significant completion expected in summer 2027 and opening in fall 2027. Rates for PG3 are not published yet.

The work has changed traffic patterns around the terminal loop before, so follow posted detour signs as you drive in.

Paying and Leaving the Garages

You pay at the exit station when you leave, by card or cash, and the airport's site lists no way to reserve or prepay a garage space.

Exit stations take Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and cash; press the phone icon if you need help with a cash payment. Keep your ticket: losing it costs $21 per day in the Hourly Garage and $17 per day in the Daily Garage. Both garages have a 30-day maximum stay. If you are only picking someone up, the free Cell Phone Waiting Area on International Blvd. is an alternative to paying for the Hourly Garage, as long as you stay with your car. For other parking questions, call Landside Operations at (843) 767-7026.

Accessible Parking in the Garages

Qualified drivers park free for the first 48 hours, then pay the Daily Garage or surface-lot rate.

Show a valid state-issued placard with matching government ID, or a handicap plate with matching registration and ID, with the placard holder in the car at exit. Elevators serve the parking garage, according to the airport's CHS accessibility page.

Garage vs Economy, Valet or Off-Site

A garage saves the shuttle ride but costs $4 to $8/day more than Economy at $13.
